Quite proud of myself!

Good morning and happy Friday the 13th! :P

So, I told y'all it was gonna be a long week for me; I wasn't exactly exaggerating about that lol. I've had to be up early this entire week, which means in bed early, which in turns means next to time for manis :( BUT!!! I managed to keep two different manis on my nails for more than 1 day! Yay me! I did stamp them both for the second day, because I just had to.

Let's start with Tuesday. That mani began as just 3 coats of China Glaze's Sunshine Pop. Surprisingly, I had next to no chips at the end of the day, but I had no time to completely change it out. Here's what it looked like first:

I added some stamping to it to change it up a little bit for Wednesday. The image came from Winstonia W216, stamped in Milani's White on the Spot. Now, the basic mani was topped with Seche, and so was the stamping. You can't see it in these next pics, but it later looked like Sunshine Pop bled through to the white O.o Either that, or it wasn't as opaque as it appears in the pics.

Needless to say, that mani came off as soon as I got home that day. What replaced it was OPI's The One That Got Away, perfectly opaque in 2 coats. I had forgotten how much I love this color; I hadn't worn in so long. I'd like to find a lippy in this color......

That mani progressed into this:

This is what's on my nails right now :) It got stamped with an image from my Betina B-15 plate and Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.

A few jewel toned manis

I love this time of year, with the seasons changing, the weather changing, holidays approaching, all of it. I most especially love the colors you see in the fall and winter. My favorites are the jewel tones, I can never get enough of them.

Sadly, between OPI's San Francisco collection and Zoya's Satins and Cashmeres collection, there were only a few I really wanted, but I did get them. The manis I want to show you feature two of them.

First up is the mani I wore today started with 2 coats of Zoya Masons. Zoya describes Mason as a fandango pink, but I'm more inclined to call it magenta. It's gorgeous and sparkly and glowy. I topped it with Seche and stamped over it, using Betina B-16 in Pure Ice Silver Mercedes, topped again with Seche.

Yesterday's mani was kinda fun, at least to me. It started with a base of a single coat of Zoya Claudine, leaving my thumbs and ring fingers without topcoat. The accents were sponged with Candy Lacquer's Candy Dots then two coats of Seche. The others were stamped with images from Nailways NW00014 in Maybelline's Bold Gold, then topped with Seche.

I've got today's mani and yesterday's Stamping Sunday challenge to show you all :) Today's mani was very simple but absolutely beautiful. I just wish my pics show that, happens when the sun hides itself.

I had managed to get in on a preorder for Colors by Llarowe's Michael Jackson tribute collection, Smooth Criminal. That's the one that really called me, although all the colors are gorgeous. Smooth Criminal is just amazing, from application to wear to just the color. The first pic I have is a bit blurry but it's the only one shows some of the holo.

Stamping Sunday's challenge called for tone on tone. I was torn on this one; normally, I would have done blue on blue, but I decided instead to do purple on purple. I started with 3 coats of OPI's Rumple's Wrigglin' as my base and topped with Seche. My stamped images came from Winstonia W-04, Vivid Lacquer VL 009, Betina B-16, and Apipila P.2 plates, stamped in Chanel Vendetta. The striping tape I used on the pinky fingers is also from Winstonia.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I just haven't felt up to it. It's just been so hot, and it feels like it sucks the energy out of me driving home. Having no A/C in the summertime here is miserable.

Anywho! I have three manis I want to show you. The first, today's, was inspired by this photo:

 Disclaimer: This is not my photo, it's OPI's, but I wanted to show what I was inspired by :) I've wanted to do this for quite a while, I just didn't have the color used, Louvre me Louvre me Not. I finally got it about 2 months ago, and still didn't get around to it.

Thankfully, though, I did. I wasn't really feeling bright, obnoxious colors today, so I opted for something a little dark and vampy. I applied 3 coats of LMLMN and topped with Seche. I realize now that I did my mani sort of opposite of OPI's, take a look. I used Scotch tape to achieve my tips.

Now, yesterday was Stamping Sunday, and I did up a mani for it. The theme for it was called your favorite color combo. I have a few that I especially like, but the one that is dear to me is blue and silver. I had just picked a new blue earlier in the week, Essie's Bouncer it's Me, which is a gorgeous neon blue.

I started off trying to sponge that over one coat of Milani's White on the Spot, but I couldn't get it even, so I ended up applying it normally. I topped with Seche and let that dry a good while before stamping.

This gave me a chance to try out a new plate I got a few weeks ago in a group buy from Betina. I used the animal print image from B-16 stamped in Pure Ice's Silver Mercedes. Topped with Seche again and done. I think it all came out a little thick looking, and it was a bitch to get off, what with all the Seche I used.

Lastly is a fun mani I wore Friday. I started with 3 coats of China Glaze's Highlight of my Summer, which is a cross between lime green and mint green. It's not a true lime green, it's too blue toned to be lime. It's also not a true neon as it doesn't dry matte. I love it, though, because it's bright and cheery.

I let that dry alone before applying one of my new indie glitter, Pixel Party from Candy Lacquer. Pixel Party is a fun glitter full of multicolored, matte, square glitters. You're definitely going to have to use the dab and place method for this, but you don't need to fish for them. I only did one pass of PP, and used 2 coats of Seche to smooth it out. I think I could have done with a coat of Gelous and a single coat of Seche instead though.
