I've got today's and yesterday's mani to show you :) If you dislike Shatter/Crackle or textured polish, I suggest you skip tonight's post, because I have both featured tonight. Let's start!

Yesterday, I gave an untried Crackle a try. My base was three coats of OPI's You're Such a Budapest topped with Seche. Over that, I layered a coat of China Glaze's Crackle Glaze in Crushed Candy. I had picked that up months and months ago on clearance, but never got around to using it. I actually really like this color combo :) Topped with Seche to keep it shiney.

Today's Texture Friday featured the last untried of the Brazil Liquid Sands, A Little Rainforest. I needed three coats for opacity and let that dry completely.  I stamped over that, using OPI's Push and Shove (great for stamping) and Messy Mansion MM21.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and got through Monday unscathed :) My weekend was a little busy, on top of feeling a little under the weather. Thankfully, I didn't get sick, just didn't feel my best.

Anywho, I have yesterday and Sunday's manis to show you. I'd also have today's, but the sun hasn't yet decided to grace us with her appearance today >.< Maybe later tonight.

The week before last, I finally caved and bought one Urban Decay's new lacquers. Unknown to me, they had made lacquers years ago, but stopped I guess. Last year, they started creating and releasing new colors once more. They're a little pricey to me, more so than some indie brands I've seen. After seeing so many raves about Blackheart, though, I decided to pick it up....... and I can see what raves are about.

Blackheart is very nearly a one coater. The formula applied very well for me. The color is definitely unique to me; UD describes it as a greige, which is a color name I've never been real familiar with. I say it's a cross between brown and grey, depending on the light, with a red shift thrown in. My pics really don't do it justice. My mani was 2 coats topped with Seche.

Sunday's stamping challenge called for a plate ending in 2. The plate I picked was Bundle Monster BM-H22. My base color was 2 coats of OPI's 4 in the Morning, with Push and Shove as the stamping color, no topcoat. Push and Shove stamps wonderfully, however, much of the stamping started coming off in the shower. 4 in the Morning didn't chip, which made me happy.

Today's Texture Friday features two new polishes from OPI's latest musical collaboration with Gwen Stefani, Push and Shove and 4 in the Morning. Push and Shove is a silver chrome, 4 in the Morning is a black satin finish (like This Gown Needs a Crown).

Push and Shove is sold with a new base coat, called Lay Down That Base. I can only guess that it's supposed to act as a ridge filler since the chrome effect shows every bump. The packaging recommends one of the base under Push and Shove. Push and Shove itself only needs two coats for opacity and all brush strokes disappear when dry.

For contrast, I taped off my nails and applied 4 in the Morning. It wasn't quite opaque on the first pass, so I gently blew on it and went over it again. I was happy with how it turned out. Push and Shove is soooo shiny, and 4 in the Morning isn't just a plain black; it has a bit of shimmer to it.

Unfortunately, the whole mani was so chipped by the time I made it to work, in spite of having made it through the shower, I ended up taking it off =\ I do know that it's not meant to last long, but I did hope it would have lasted longer than 12 hours. I think the next time I use Push and Shove, it may as my usual mani set up.
