Good afternoon! How is your Tuesday afternoon? :) Is it bright and colorful and spring ready? Blah, I think Florida didn't get the memo for spring this year, and jumped right into summer x.x Not happy!
But I have several manis that I am incredibly happy with that I want to show off today. I think just about all of them feature new colors/collections. Shall we get started?
Today's mani, I know for sure, featured a new polish and a new stamping polish. The base color is Periwinkle in Time from KBShimmer. I have been on such a periwinkle kick lately, but I've had a difficult time finding true periwinkles. PiT needed three coats for opacity, then SV before stamping.
Mundo de Unas came out with new stamping colors for spring last month, a set of 8 colors. I ordered the entire set and received them yesterday. I wasn't sure how well Mint was going stamp over PiT, but it stamped just fine. It didn't blend in the base at all. The stamping plate I used was Pet'la Geomatrix, and sealed it with SV.
Yesterday was a water marble day with all Zoya colors. Purity for the base, and Lillian, Tiana, Cole, and Eden for the marble. I am so proud of how far my water marbles have come :)
I didn't take part in this week's Stamping Sunday challenge, mostly because I was lacking inspiration for the theme. I chose instead to do a stamped gradient. The gradient base was all China Glaze colors (which I have fallen back in love with.....). White on White for blank base, and Lemon Fizz, Highlight of my Summer, and Bottoms Up with a sprinkling of Fairy Dust then SV. I almost didn't stamp over that, I was so happy with how this gradient looked, but stamped I did. MdU turquoise and Pet'la Geomatrix for the stamping, then SV.
Textured Friday featured my last, new to me textured polish, Formula X by Sephora Nova. This is a pretty, lighter red, kind of like the one from the Minnie Mouse collection. This mani was 2 coats.
Last Thursday was another water marble, this one featuring Morgan Taylor colors. The white base was All White Now, the marble colors were Watt Yel-lookin' At? and OPI's Incognito in Sausalito. SV then Morgan Taylor's Matte's a Wrap.
For last Wednesday, I used the newly released Peri Me from I Love Nail Polish. Peri Me is a beautiful perwinkle linear holo; of course, I had to have it :P My mani needed 3 coats. SV, then stamped with MdU Fiji and Winstonia W-318, then another coat of SV.
And, finally, last Tuesday was simply 3 coats of Zoya Lola. Lola is quite easily the brightest, most obnoxious pink I own and have worn, next to Zoya Ali. It freaked my camera out a little bit, but this pic is pretty close to what it looks like. Since it dries kinda matte, topcoat is a muse, so SV on top of it.

Boy, this year has certainly flown by; I can't believe it's already December! I guess that means I've had a busy year XD It doesn't really feel like it has been, well, at least no busier than usual, I suppose lol. Work has been busy, though, which has kept me posting to just once a week, so I have a week's worth of manis to show y'all :)
Let's start with Textured Friday's offering. I used three coats of the pretty purple Zoya Thea for my base, and stamped over with present images from Winstonia's Merry Christmas plate and MdU silver.
Thursday's mani was bright and festive, using a bright summer creme and a mixed sized circle glitter. The creme was Wait 'N Sea from China Glaze (which stained my nails upon removal) and the glitter was Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree from Candy Lacquer. Because of the glitter, I needed two coats of Seche to smooth it out.
Sadly, only one of my pics came out decent -_-
I regard Wednesday's mani as something of a fail. It certainly didn't come out how I pictured in my head, I think I should have used a different base or something. Anyways, it was 2 coats of Zoya Celine and a single coat of Finger Paints' Hollywood Decadence. HD is very similar to OPI's More Than a Glimmer. It dries matte just like Glimmer does, but I added a matte coat to my mani anyways.
In one of on the groups I'm in, on FB, this week's challenge was a radial gradient. There aren't many tutorials on it, but I recalled seeing a pic weeks ago of one. How I did mine was this:
I started with a white base, Zoya Purity, which got topcoated. On a makeup sponge, I made a dot of Purity, then circled it with Zoya Prim. I then sponged it onto my nail, going over it as many times as it needed, twice for this mani. I almost stamped over after I topped again, but I decided against it.
I was really on the fence about this mani, but I think with practice, I could get the hang of this particular style gradient.
Last week or the week before, I don't remember which, I received two new polishes from I Love Nail Polish. One of them I've already worn, Champagne Blush. The other, Black Orchid, I paired with one of their multichromes, Undenied, for Monday's mani. Two coats each, then topcoat.

In spite of being busy (still) at work, it's been a great week! Several of my shows have come back, which makes for a happy household right now lol.
Yet again, the weather here has been pretty dismal this week. It's finally rained last night, and as I type this up :) To make it a little more bearable, I did a few blinged up manis. Shall we start?
Today's mani was simple but very pretty, in my opinion. The base was two coats of OPI's Ate Berries in the Canaries, followed by a coat of OPI's Pure, then a coat of Seche. I know the second and third pics are a little blurry, but they do show the white metals well.
Yesterday's mani wasn't blingy, but just as pretty. I chose to do a gradient using China Glaze's Kinectic Candy and OPI's Fly and Amazon...Amazoff. A coat of Seche then a coat of OPI's Matte Coat finished it off.
Now, Tuesday's mani was blingy :) The base was 2 coats of Zoya's Julie. I sponged on Candy Lacquer's newest circle glitter topper, A Little Bubbly, which consists of pink and gold circles in various shapes and finishes, with a touch of gold shimmer. Tow coats of Seche went over that.

Sorry for being MIA this week, I've had more than usual early, long days, which makes it difficult for me to want to blog. I finally got time this morning, mainly because I'm off weekends :P I've got a few manis, one a fail >.< to show you!
Let's start with today's. I'm going to a baby shower this afternoon for my cousin, so of course, I had to something for that :) I really wanted to use the baby themed plate from the Bundle Monster Holiday set that I ordered during their Black Friday sale, but I also wanted to do a water marble and maybe use one of my idie crelly glitters. Here's what I came up with!
Ok, I seriously love how this turned out! My thumb and ring fingers were water marbled with all Zoya colors, starting with a base of Purity at two coats with a top of Seche, and marbled with Pippa, Malia, Rocky, and Purity (in that order), and a final coat of Seche.
The other fingers were 3 coats of Above the Curve's Sugar Rush, a coat of Seche, then stamped with Bundle Monster BM H-21 and Sinful Colors Ardoise, and a final coat of Seche. I almost matted the water marbling, but decided against it this time.
Friday was my usual textured mani, using the two new Designer Series from OPI. Now, OPI wasn't exactly pushing them as Liquid Sands, but come on. All their other textured polishes, whether they be sparkly or not, are called Liquid Sands, so it kinda goes without saying that these are, too, even if they put into the DS.
Let me first say that although I love the colors and how they look on the nail, I am horribly disappointed in how badly they wore. I first wore Lapis while I was on vacation in Tennessee. Now, I've never lived anywhere that gets as cold as it did there, so I wasn't sure if the horrible chipping was my fault or because of the weather or what. I wanted to give it another go, so I did my nails up with Lapis and Pewter for yesterday.
I didn't do a thing differently prepping my nails for textured polishes. Everything was fine when I went to bed Thursday night and Friday morning, even through my shower Friday morning. Sadly, though, that was about the end of it. These two, Lapis and Pewter, wear nothing like the other Sands I own. They are so chippy on me, I could have cried. I love the colors, but not enough to keep them, so they're going to a new home today =\
The one nice thing I can say about them is that they both applied nicely and only needed two coat to look like this ^.
Thursday featured one of my untried indies, Candy Lacquer's Unicorn Bubbles. I started with a base of OPI's You're Such a Buda-pest at two coats. From previous experience with her glitter toppers, I chose to sponge Unicorn Bubbles on, so I topped with Seche before doing so. I went it over it twice, trying not to sponge it on too thick to avoid air bubbles, then applied two coats of Seche to smooth it out.
Wednesday's mani featured a polish from Maybelline's latest collection, Street Art. The one I picked up, Wild at Heart, has pink and black matte glitters in different shapes and sizes in a clear base. Silly me, I thought it was red and black, but the pink is ok with me lol. My base color was 2 coats of OPI's Skull and Glossbones, with 2 of Wild at Heart, which applied really nice. The clear base wasn't as thick as I expected it to be, and didn't chip on me. It did need two coats of Seche to smooth it out.
This is the only pic I had that wasn't completely blurred >.> It made be hard to tell, but I matted the thumb and ring fingers with Wet 'N Wild's new matte coat.
And, lastly, Tuesday's mani, which I regard something as a fail lol. Not the base color, I love that. The base was two glorious coats of Darling Diva's Blue Diamonds (that I would have bought just for the name alone, never mind that it's a blue holo, simply because I love blue diamonds). I'm sure if I had applied it thick enough, I could have gotten away with one coat. The fail came in the form of my stamping. I used one of the icicle images from Messy Mansion plate MM27, stamped in Pure Ice's Silver Mercedes. I really should stamped the image so that it was from my cuticle down, not from the free edge up. Plus, my camera didn't want to capture the holo-ness.

So, I've discovered a new (to me) indie polish maker, Darling Diva Polish. I know, I know, that's not a new indie maker, but it's new to me. I placed and received my first order within, like, a week and a half. I was pretty impressed with that.
When I had placed my order, she was running a coupon for 20% off, plus a free polish with every order. I completely spaced the free one, so it was a happy surprise when I opened up my package :) I'll show the other two next week or the week after, but tonight is for the free one.
I looked on the site and searched for it by name, but I didn't see it and it didn't come up, so I'm not sure if it's not released it or discontinued or what. Regardless, it's definitely feeding my growing weakness for crellies and circle glitters. Bubble Bath is what I call a dolphin grey, meaning it's more of a blue grey than a true grey. Its circle glitters are different sizes and colors, and you don't have to work at fishing them out. It did get a little thick with the second and third coats, but it was totally opaque with the third. It also was a smooth as I would have liked, but two coats of Seche made it tolerable.
Sometimes it's a crapshoot when a surprise/free with purchase item, but this one I'm really happy with :)
