Sorry for the lateness of this post. I spent most of last week fighting off a cold that literally everyone around has had for the last two months. I thought I was safe, in that I hadn't gotten it. Well, with our last cold front, it finally did. Nowhere near as bad as everyone else, but it made me very tired.
Last week's prompt for 40gnai was spring. My mani turned out more Easter-y than spring, but I really like what I did. The base was a beautiful gradient of China Glaze colors-
White on White
Sweet Hook
Dance Baby
Lemon Fizz
Fairy Dust
The stamped images were from Winstonia A Very Bunny Day, stamped in MdU black. Everything was matted with Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.

Sorry for the lateness of this post. I simply ran out of time over the last few days to post this mani, but here it is!
Last week's 40GNAI prompt was fashion. Normally, I would quail at the thought of this particular prompt; after all, I'm not exactly fashionable, but I do know what I like and have my own style. My inspiration for this mani was a dress that Dress Barn had posted on their FB within the last few weeks; it's actually something I would buy for myself, it's so pretty and feminine.
The base for my mani was done with the Saran Wrap technique, using OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI and Zoya Violet. The stamping was done with MdU pink and UberChic 1-03. First, the dress that was my inspiration.
And then the mani I came up with.
Oh, and I matted with Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.

I swear, sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day, or I just need more energy to accomplish the things I want to do XD This is great, big catching up post, so bear with me. Nearly all these manis are for one IG nail art challenge or another. Unfortunately, I didn't write down which was what, and I don't remember them all, but if you want to sneak a peek, check out my IG. I have all that info on each photo. Now, on the manis!
I do remember that yesterday's mani was for #clairestelle8feb challenge; the prompt was the decade I love. My favorite decade is the 80's. I spent all my childhood and preteen years in the 80's. I do wish I got to see them through older eyes; I feel like there's so much I missed lol.
The base for this mani is China Glaze UV Meant to Be. The stamping colors are neons blue, green, yellow, pink, and orange from MdU, and the images are from myonlineshop Jr. 20. Matted with Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.
Friday's mani is already posted, so on to Thursday's. It was a broken hearted theme for #nailartchallengefeb. I don't think I quite nailed, but I was kinda lacking inspiration for it. The base was DIFFERENT dimension Ships Ahoy!, which is a beautiful, sparkly blue holo. I wish I could have captured the holo-ness, but the weather has not been cooperative when I've worn holos. The stamped images are for Bundle Monster 411 and 421, and myonlineshop Jr. 20, stamped in MdU black.
#watermarblepracticewed's prompt, over a glitter base, was combined with another IG challenge, #glamnailschallengefeb, prompt, pink. For my glitter and pink base, I picked a Pixie Dust, Zoya Arabella. My water marble is a little hard to see, at least the grey is. That's Zoya Geneviev. The clear is OPI Nail Envy.
Tuesday was another prompt for #clairestelle8feb; it was book/movie you love. Well, I chose a book that's also a movie I love- Memoirs of a Geisha. Both are beautifully done, even though they are not quite the same. I enjoyed both of them equally. The base for this mani was OPI Pedal Faster Suzi!. The stamped images were from Sugar Bubbles 022, stamped in MdU black and brown.
PAA Mani Monday was combined with #nailartchallengefeb; the first being flowers, the other love letters. I did a Saran Wrap mani for my base, using OPI My Pal Joey and Rich Girls and Po-Boys. Yes, they are different enough that a blue lover like myself needs them lol. Stamped images are from UberChic 1-02, Chez Delaney Divers 001, and Messy Mansion 24, stamped in MdU white.
Last Sunday was the last prompt for January #clairestelle8jan. The prompt was daisies. My daisies were holo :P The base I used for this was DIFFERENT dimension Moonbeam, which is a jaw dropping rose gold. COLLECT ALL THE ROSE GOLDS!!! The daisies were from UberChic 1-02, stamped in MdU black. I know the off center, I did that intentionally :)
That Friday's mani was posted, so on to that Thursday's. It wasn't a challenge prompt day, so I keep it simple. It was a new to me brand, which I don't think this indie has been around very long, at least not making polishes anyways. I'm not sure, but I do know she makes some beautiful ones. I'm talking about My World Sparkles Lacquers. I picked up Black Opal. Black Opal is a black crelly filled with iridescent, different shaped glitters to give it a black opal look. I matted my mani with Wet 'n Wild's matte topcoat.
#watermarblepracticewed's prompt for that week was fishtail. I intentionally matched the colors of my shirt that day :P I used OPI Alpine Snow for the white base, and Mod About You, Suzi has a Swede Tooth, Angel With a Leadfoot, and You're Vain-illa for the marble.

That Tuesday's mani was a prompt for #clairestelle8jan, stripes. The base was My Pal Joey, and the glitter on accents was Nails, Inc. Portobello Gardens. The wavy stripes were from UC 1-01, stamped in MdU pastel blue. Matteness thanks to Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.
PAA Mani Monday for January 25 was a non glitter topper, or something. I don't remember what, but I chose the non glitter topper. I kept it simple with Zoya Ireland and Gilty.
I went naked that entire week, so nothing to see unless you're into naked nubs :P On Thursday, the 21st. What I ended up with was not what I had planned. What I started out with was ruined, so I had to slap something on fast the next morning. No time for all the crap I normally do! Just a base coat and Zoya Phoebe, and done!
Coincidentally, I matched the pendant I wore that day :)
Last but not least, Wednesday the 20th's mani. Another simple one, Colors by Llarowe Winter's Day Night.

Wow, where has the month gone?! I can't believe we're already more than halfway through January! Busy, busy, busy!
So, I have some manis to show you, let's get started. Today's mani was simple, but soooo beautiful. It was ILNP Greatness and Glory. So much shifty goodness in this mani!
Yesterday's PAA Mani Monday prompts were mermaid mani and/old shimmer; I did both. My base was Zoya Estelle, stamped with Mundo de Unas gold and Messy Mansion 21.
I skipped on on Sunday's Stamping Sunday challenge, I wasn't feeling it, so I did a gradient with some of the new Zoya Whispers. Base was Purity, gradient was Lake, Ireland, and Cala.
Thursday, I did up a mani using the last polish/plate I bought last year. It was for a group I'm in. The last polish I bought of last year was OPI Center of the You-niverse, the last plate was Cheeky CH40.
For last Wednesday's #watermarblepracticewed, the prompt was horizontal stripes. This didn't turn out quite how I imagined, but I still liked it. The base was Zoya Ziv, the water marble was Wet 'N Wild Black Creme and Nail Envy.
Last Tuesday, I did another multichrome/flakie combo, this one being ILNP Phoenix and Undenied.
Last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompt I chose was most used polish. My most used polish, that I haven't replaced yet, is OPI Blue my Mind. I matted that with OPI's matte topcoat.
That previous Sunday, I skipped out on that Stamping Sunday, too, and instead did a prompt for an IG challenge. The prompt was favorite animal. My base was DIFFERENT dimension Heavenly Waters, which is beautiful. I stamped kitties and butterflies over it from DRK A3 in Mundo de Unas sky blue.

Yay for little sleep! It's gonna be a long day x.x I've got plenty of manis to show you, so let's get to them! First up is yesterday's mani. It was very simple, and I wish I could have gotten a better photo of it, but it was just so gloomy yesterday, and indoor with a flash didn't cut it. I used Morgan Taylor Mint Chocolate Chip and Daydream, topped with Matte's a Wrap.
Mint Chocolate Chip is prolly one of the prettiest mint greens I own. There's no hint of blue, like with many mint greens and a few I own. It's very clean with no dustiness.
For #watermarblepracticewed this week, the prompt was starburst. I started with a base of OPI's Starry Eyed for Dear Daniel, which is pretty much the only other color I wanted from the Hello Kitty collection (which is currently available just about everywhere now). In the bottle, it looked like full on glitter, like the Burlesque glitters, but it's not, and it was easy to apply. I got it mostly because I like the color, not so much because it's glitter lol. For the water marble, I used Wet 'N Wild Black Creme and Nail Envy.
Yesterday was also a prompt for an IG challenge I've been taking part in, so I did that Tuesday. The prompt was winter berries. I really like what I came up with. The base is I Cannoli Wear OPI; I just love this color! The branches are stamped and are from Marianne Nails 58, stamped in MdU brown. The berries are just dots of OPI Bogota Blackberry.
PAA Mani Monday's prompt choices were sweater weather and/or new year, new color, an untried. I combined both in the beautiful ILNP Sweater Weather that I got for my birthday. Sweater Weather reminds of the holos that Zoya currently has, except that SW's holo is finer and almost linear.
Sunday was another prompt for that IG, this prompt being snow and ice, which was so appropriate for the weather we had. I think winter is finally here lol. It was just so sloppy and miserable on Sunday. The base was a gradient of KBShimmer Lo and be Bold and DIFFERENT dimension Heavenly Waters. The snow and snowflakes are from Chez Delaney Xmas 001 and UberChic 1-03, stamped in MdU silver white. Heavenly Waters is a holo, but you can't see it because, again, lighting =\
Last week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt was, like everything else, was New Year's. I used KBShimmer Pt Young Thing for my base, and Color Club Beyond and Nail Envy for the marble. This was the first time I've marbled with a holo, and I like the result. I did have to work a little faster, since holos tend to dry faster. I may need to dry some other holos for water marbling :)
Last Tuesday was one of the final 30DoCC prompts of the year. It was icicles. I decided to use a Pixie Dust as the base this time, Zoya Cosmo. The icicles were from Messy Mansion 27, stamped in MdU white.
Last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompts were silver/gold only and/or negative space. This is what I came up. Both colors are Zoyas, the gold being Kerry, the silver Trixie. The Happy New Year image was from Infinity Nails 79, stamped in MdU silver and gold.
And finally, last Sunday, it was prompts for 30DoCC and the IG challenge. Prompts were gifts/presents. Instead of gifts, I did gift wrapping, because you can't have gifts without gift wrap! The base was OPI Rose to the Ovation. The image was from Sugar Bubbles Special 02, stamped in MdU white.

Good evening! I hope you made through your Monday. Mine was rather busy, and with the cursed time change, I'm tired lol. I needed to get this post up before I decide to go to call it a night. Here we go!
Today's mani was inspired by this pretty green top I have that I got at Macy's. Let tell you, this top is more green in person than what it shows on the site. However, ^^^that pic is more what my mani should have been inspired by :P Either way, I love how it turned out.
The base color wsa 2 coats of Colors by Llarowe Thriller. I only just got this in the last few weeks; I really regretted not getting it when it was first released. Sadly, though, I think the Michael Jackson tribute collections are discontinued because they are no longer listed on the site. Glad I got it when I did! Stamped over Thriller were images from my FUN 14 plate and Mundo de Unas black. Seche to seal it.
The challenge for Stamping Sunday this week was black and white. For my base, I applied three coats of Morgan Taylor's All White Now. In spite of needing three coats, this white is pretty nice. Applied right, you could do just two coats. It's not horribly streaky or patchy, or too thick. The black was Color Club's Beyond, the image from Born Pretty Store bp-15. I'm a little impressed with how nicely this plate stamped, considering my first plate were from BPS, and they were crap.
A few weeks ago, I picked up a new to me texture from Formula X for Sephora. I recall hearing about a texture collection from them last year, but, since I live an hour from the closest Sephora, I never followed up on it. I found Galaxy in a destash sale and snapped it. It applied a little thick, but was opaque and gritty (lol) in two coats. I know my pics make it look black, but it's actually navy blue, and it stains a little. The gold sparkle in the bottle doesn't translate to the nail.
Thursday's mani was bright and fun, at least to me. It reminded my very of some the clothes I wore in 90's :P You could say it was Throwback Thursday mani. Anywas, the base was three coats of OPI's You Are So Outta Lime!, which was layered over 2 coats of OPI's Put a Coat On!. Over Lime went a coat of Salon Perfect's Rogh Around the Edges, then two coats of Seche.
I think Wednesday's mani has got to be my most favorite mani, ever. It's rather simple, no nail art at all, but it's just so gorgeous. The base was three coats of KBShimmer's Low and Be Bold, which is just.... wow. I don't have a blue even like this, and I have a lot of blues. The closest would have to be Nails, Inc. Baker Street, and it's more cobalt. It's nowhere near as vibrant as this. It's almost crelly like its formula, which is why it needed three coats. Over this beauty went two coats of Dark Matter, also from KBShimmer, then a coat of Seche, then Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.
Tuesday was another mani featuring KBShimmer, this one Funky Cold Patina. This crelly is so awesome! First, I just love the name. Funky Cold Patina= Funky Cold Medina :) Second, THAT COLOR!! Such a beautiful turquoise. Love! Formula was easy to work with; I needed three coats, but that was more user error than anything else.
I almost stamped over this, to make it more turquoise stone like, but I ran out of time that night. Seche smoothed it out nicely.
