Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well this fine Tuesday morning :) I am, and I also had a great weekend, I hope you did as well.
Well, I wrapped up the monthly challenge I was participating in and started with Valentine's manis on Sunday. I don't know, for some reason I'm not really feeling it this year, but I'm still plugging along with them. I love yesterday's mani, and I really love Sunday's before I stamped it.
Yesterday's mani was the traditional red mani, featuring KBShimmer's Whole Lava Lovin'. I love this red holo, it's the only I have felt the need to have. This mani only needed two easy coats, then was topped with Seche. I stamped over that with Mundo red and Fab Ur Nails 14. I wasn't sure how the red over red would look, but I loved it after it was topped. Subtle and very pretty.
Of course, leave it to me to want to wear a fabulous holo on a craptastic weather day so the holo won't show, even with a flash >.<
Stamping Sunday's challenge was, for obvious reason :P, was Valentine's nails. I decided that I wanted a bright water marble for the base. It was inspired by a water marble I remember seeing in a FB group I'm in, but I don't remember who, sorry! The colors used were all OPI:

Marbled over 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow Matte. Honestly, I think I should have stopped with the water marble, because I thought is awesome, but nooooooo. Stamped I did. Mundo blue and Messy Mansion MM03, Seche, then OPI Matte Coat.
Friday was the last day I did for the 31 day challenge, and the prompt was inspired by a flag. I chose the flag of my not so distant ancestors, the st. Andrews flag of Scotland :) The is 2 coats of OPI No Room for the Blues, then Seche. Stamped image is from MJ XXIX and is stamped in Mundo white, then topped again with Seche.
Thursday's prompt was inspired by art. For this, I picked water color art. My base was OPI Alpine Snow Matte. To create the water color look, I used OPI's Sheer Tints, and just applied them randomly, then added a coat of Seche so I could stamp over. The tulips came from Fab Ur Nails 14 and were stamped in Mundo black.
Again, leave it to me to do something like this on a crappy day lol.
Wednesday's prompt was inspired by a pattern. I like my end result, but I do not like the base polish, which was from Sally Hansen's Velvet line. The color is called Velour, and it has got to be one of the weirdest polishes I've used. The formula was thick and kind of streaky, and the finish was.... strange. It was matte but it had a bit of a texture to it O.o Not what I was expecting.
I wanted to stamp over this, so I topped it was Seche. The stamped image came from Sugar Bubbles 021 and the color used was Mundo Fiji. I love images like the one I used. Topped with Seche, then matted with Morgan Taylor's Mattes a Wrap.
When it came time to take this off, lemme tell you, it was a bitch. I've never had a matte, or texture, polish give me such a hard time with removal. This is not a keeper, for these reasons. The color is also very much like Zoya Mira, so I don't feel that I need to keep it. It's on its way out!
Tuesday's prompt was inspired by fashion. I knew a few weeks ago what I wanted to do for this :) I watch The Young & The Restless, and one of the female characters wore this beautiful, royal blue and black plaid dress.
My base color was 2 coats of China Glaze Frostbite, then Seche. The plaid stamp was from MJ XXIX, stamped in Mundo black. Seche, then China Glaze Matte Magic, which should be called Satin Magic, because it's definitely not matte.
Ignore the crooked stamping :P I still struggle with placement and straightness lol. Overall, I was pretty happy with this.

How was your first full week of 2015??? Mine was rather busy, which is a good thing! I received a new rack, my third, for my ever growing Zoya collection, yay! Now to fill up again lol :P
Alrighty, so I have some new and not so new colors to show y'all today, starting with the color I wore Friday, SpaRitual's Oasis. When I picked it up on clearance at Ulta, along with two glitters from Nails, Inc., I sincerely thought it was gonna be a texture. Right on the label, under the color name, it said sandy matte. I figured cool, I don't have a texture this color! Sad to say, it wasn't a texture, and it wasn't hardly even matte, it's more of what I would call a satin, like OPI's 4 in the Morning or This Gown Needs a Crown.
I did my two coats, which was perfect for Oasis, topped it with Seche, then added a coat of Morgan Taylor's Matte's a Wrap. O.M.G. I think this what Oasis should look like!
Thursday I tried my hand at some freehand art. I suck at freehand, so this took me about two hours do. It was one the manis from Zoya's Fall Trend Guide, the colorblocking. Colors used were Ryan, Genevieve, and Dhalia.
Wednesday was a flakie day. I used my two flakies from KBShimmer, Lightning Ridge and Dark Matter, to create this look, over two coats of OPI's Amazon...AmazOff.
Last weekend, I picked up the only color I wanted from OPI's Fifty Shades of Grey collection. Let's just say, I'm as underwhelmed by this collection as I am the books, and I will leave it at that. This color, however, is gorgeous. Shine for Me is a silver glitter with blue glitter sprinkled throughout. My mani was two coats, with just a single coat of Seche.
Monday was a challenge mani for a group I'm in. It called for a Saran Wrap mani, stamped with either snowflakes or flowers. My base color was 2 coats of OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls, the pink is OPI's Suzi Has a Swede Tooth, the stamped color is Mundo's Fiji, and the snowflakes came from Infinity Nails 79. The matte coat is from OPI.

So, we are finally, really, feeling fall/winter like weather here, and I couldn't be happier. I love cooler weather, and it looks like it'll be around for a while. Finally, it feels like the holidays!
Because of that, I finally felt like doing a snowflake mani. I chose to do it yesterday, since it was my birthday and I got two new flakie toppers for it :) I remember doing a mani inspired by this mani, and it's definitely making the rounds again this year. I decided to do a slightly different take on it.
For my base color, I used two coats of Zoya Ryan. Instead of a glitter topper, I used one of my new flakie toppers KBShimmer, Dark Matter, then topcoated with Seche. All the stamped snowflakes, of which there were no doubles on either hand, came from Infinity Nails 79 and were stamped in MdU silver. Another coat of Seche then Zoya matte coat. Oh, and some bling on the ring fingers.
I am so proud of how this turned out.
Tuesday featured another new polish from KBShimmer, Holly Back Girl. This is a white crelly with red and green glitter. I had seen something similar from a different indie brand, but found it wasn't available, which sucked because I loved it. Then I found this, and made haste to get it.
My mani used 3 coats of Holly Back Girl, then a coat of Seche. Keeping with the theme, I stamped different holly images on top, which all came from Chez Delaney Christmas 001. MdU red and high green were used to stamp with. A coat of Seche to seal it all.
Alrighty, moving along! It's been about a month or so since my last water marble. I wanted do something orchid colored, since Pantone announced this week their color of the year for 2015. Let's just say I'm less than thrilled with their choice.
My base color was a coat of Zoya Purity, then a coat of Seche. My marbling colors were Zoya Perrie and Haven, and the dots were Zoya Trixie. All topped with Seche. I was reluctant to take this off because it was so pretty.
I skipped this week's Stamping Sunday theme, mainly because I couldn't figure out how to translate a childhood winter memory to my nails. It's not that I didn't have any, there is one that stands out, but it was trying to figure out how to do it. Instead, I did "ugly" sweater nails.
The base color was 2 coats of KBShimmer Whole Lava Lovin'. The images came from Mo You London Festive 06 and Sugar Bubbles Special 002, stamped in MdU white, and topped with Seche.
I really need to work on my placement >.< Also, that thumb pic isn't blurry, the image stamped like that on just that thumb, I have no idea why lol.

Good afternoon! For those that celebrated yesterday, I hope you had a great Memorial Day! I spent the afternoon with friends and family, and got waaaaay too drunk :P
I completely meant to post half these manis last Friday, but when I leave my camera at home, that can't happen lol. So this is gonna be a big catching up post! Let's get the show on the road, shall we?
Starting with today's mani, which featured two new colors. Mani started with a base of 1 coat of OPI's Put a Coat on! base coat, followed by 2 coats of OPI's You're So Outta Lime. This one color impressed me more than last year's Neon Revolution neons (which I threw out, I was so disgusted with them >.<). If I hadn't added a coat of glitter, I might have considered a third coat, but honestly, I thought 2 was pretty good. The glitter I added is a new one from Hard Candy, Pop Star. Pop Star is a little thick, but packed with glitter; however, I definitely I should have sponged it on instead brushing it on. Two coats of Seche and done.
Yesterday I did up a patriotic mani featuring holos. I applied two coats of each color- KB Shimmer Whole Lava Lovin' and OPI's DS Glamour and Coronation. Stamped images came from Winstonia W107 and Vivid Lacquer VL 002, in Milani's White on the Spot. Topped with Seche.
Stamping Sunday's challenge was butterflies, fireflies, and ladybugs. Now, you could any one, combo, or all three in your mani. I opted for ladybugs, since it's something I hadn't done before. I started first with my ring fingers as the accents, and water marbled them with OPI's Red Hot Rio and China Glaze's Liquid Leather over a coat of Put a Coat on!. Boy, was that a bitch to do, but it came out nice. Dots are White on the Spot, topped with Seche.
The other fingers were 2 coats of Red Hot Rio, a coat of Seche, then stamped with Milani Black Swift and Winstonia W 112, and another coat of Seche.
For Textured Friday, I mixed my textures :) I did 2 coats each of OPI's Emotions and 4 in the Morning.
Thursday's mani is a copy of a mani I saw, I think, in a Face Book group I'm in. I don't remember exactly who posted it, but I had wanted to do ever since I saw. This is what I came up :)
I first did a Saran Wrap mani with OPI's Skull and Glossbones and French Quarter for Your Thoughts. Then I stamped over it first with OPI's Road House Blues and one image, then Road House Blues and OPI's Eurso Euro and another image. Image plate use was Messy Mansion MM 24. Topped with Seche.
Wednesday's mani was something simpler. Two coats of OPI's Be a Dahlia Won't You? and a coat of I Lily Love You. This needed two coats of Seche, because the flakie isn't as smooth as others.
