Alrighty, so even though Chinese New Year was on January 31st, today's Stamping Sunday them was just that. I don't celebrate this, but I had no problem doing a mani themed for it :)
My base color was 2 coats of Zoya Sooki, which is, in my opinion, the perfect red. I especially love it for summer, and it worked really well for this mani. It practically glowed against Maybelline's Bold Gold I used for the stamped images. The images came from Bundle Monster's Holiday set BM-H15 and Mash-42.
Let me just say I love this set of Bundle Monster plates. Every plate I've used so far has stamped so well. I highly recommend getting it!

Today's Stamping Sunday challenge was Halloween nails. If I had followed my set up, it would have instead been pink nails, but since this is the week of Halloween, I decided that I would do some kind of 'weeny nails the rest of the week. So here goes!
My base for this mani is comprised of all OPI colors and all one of each: Flit a Bit, Serving Up Sparkle, and Y'all Come Back, Ya Hear?. Yes, the base was a jelly sammich :) I actually really like how the base alone came out, but since it was for the stamping challenge, it wasn't meant to stay that way lol.
My stamped images came from Bundle Monster BM13, Mash-38, and Shany SH25 (just on the pinkies). Stamping colors were Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and Sinful Colors Black on Black. All topped with Seche.

I know I'm a day late posting my Stamping Sunday challenge, but I've had an incredibly busy weekend that involved a party Saturday, cleaning practically all morning yesterday (needless to say, I'm very sore from that x.x), and hanging with an old, dear friend yesterday afternoon. Through all that, my mani held up unbelievably well, but that could be because of the three coats of Seche lol.
Let's get started!
Yesterday's theme called for using a Saran, or cling, wrap base. This is a new technique to me but I've found that's not very dissimilar to sponging; you're just using the wrap in place of a sponge. From what I can tell, there are two ways to do this, but I'll get that in a sec.
For my base, I used 3 coats of Zoya Arizona followed by a coat of Seche, since I didn't want to destroy it. Now, to create the effect, you can either apply your next color directly on top of the first, then dab it with the Saran wrap, or put some polish on the Saran wrap then dab it on. Either works, but I think the second method may better, even though I tried the first one. It seems my polish dried a little faster than I would have liked and tried to pull off more, if that makes sense.
My second color was Zoya Wednesday. I was trying to create a beachy look, but it came out a little muddy =\ I topped that with Seche and let dry before stamping. The plates I used were Winstonia W108 and Mash 35, all stamped in Sally Hansen Insta Dri Co-balt Blue, followed by the last coat of Seche.
Overall, I like how it turned out and held up under the abuse I put it through, but yeah, I think the base could have been better. See for yourself!

Today's Stamping Sunday challenge was, of course, Easter themed nails. I thought long and hard and scraped several ideas before settling on what I did. I started with a Skittles mani, using Zoya Arizona and Pippa, OPI You're Such a Budapest and Pink Friday, and China Glaze Kinetic Candy, all done with 3 coats and topped with Seche.
Once that was dry, I pulled out 5 different stamping colors- Maybelline Sweet Clementine, Ulta The Jungle Look, Confetti Get the Party Started, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, and Wet 'N Wild 2 Weeks Sober. The plates I used were Bundle Monster 323 and 315, and Mash 43. The results were to make my nails look like designed eggs, especially once I matted them with OPI's matte topcoat.

Good morning, peeps! It's a beautiful morning here in FL, and I really can't complain about it being too warm...... yet xD I can complain about the time change, though. I was still all messed up from the fall time change, so yeah. The change this past weekend did not help any lol.
Anyways! On to today's featured mani, which is yesterday's Stamping Sunday challenge. This one called for using a plate that ended in 6. Realistically, most of my sets on have 2 plates that end 6, so you'd think it would have be easy to pick one......... I chose Bundle Monster 316. Turns out, my BM 316 doesn't stamp, at least not with the polishes I tried (including Konad Special White), and I refuse to stamp full nail image with any stamper but my XL one.
So, sadly, I moved on to my back up plan, which was MASH 46. I used two images from that plate, because their full nail images don't fit my wide thumb nails. My base color was two coats of Zoya Gie Gie, Seche over that, and the images stamped in Sinful Colors Ardoise with one more coat of Seche.

I know I haven't posted since last week. I've been a little busy and stressed out about my stupid Jeep. I managed to get my nails all nice and pretty a few though :)
I'll start with last Friday's mani. I really love how it turned out. Base color is 2 coats of Zoya Robyn with one coat of Girly Bits' Cosmic Ocean, followed by Seche. This was the first time I've stamped butterfly wings, so it's not quite straight, but it's not horrible. The image I used is my Vivid Lacquer 002 plate and the stamping color is Zoya Ibiza. I used my dotting tools and Zoya Purity for the dots.
Now for my Stamping Sunday mani. The chosen theme was my profession; unfortunately, I don't have any plates with images for what I do. So, I decided to do my first Valentine's Day mani. Base color is 2 coats of Zoya Reagan with Zoya Purity sponged on the tips. Seche before stamping. The stamped image is from MASH 48, the color is Black Creme from Wet 'N Wild.
And now for yesterday's mani. It was another Valentine's mani, but with purple this time. Base is 2 coats of China Glaze's Sweet Hook. I was very surprised it only needed two coats, since most pastel cremes are notoriously streaky. Sweet Hook isn't, though. I topped with Seche before I stamped, so the base was dry. The stamped image is from Bundle Moster 303, the color is Chanel Vendetta. For the dots, I used my dotting tools and Zoya Carly and Suri. This mani is topped with Northern Lights.
Can I tell you how much I hate topping with Northern Lights after I stamp? I tried so hard to keep that brush off my image and it still smeared. Makes me crazy >.> Overall, though, I love how this turned out. I'll be doing at least one more Valentine's mani, I'm sure; I have one planned for that day.

I have a couple of stamped manis I'd like to show tonight. First up is today's Stamping Sunday theme, an accent. Remember last week I had done SS's theme but, not only did my pics suck, the mani sucked also? Well, I gave the stamped image another shot.
I started with 3 coats of OPI's Pedal Faster, Suzi! and topped with Seche. On a quick side note, I'm really hoping PFS isn't too similiar to Zoya Gei Gei >.< Once dry, I stamped the Marilyn Monroe image on my Sugar Bubbles 002 plate onto my ring fingers in Wet 'N Wild's Black Cream and topped with Seche again. The first three pics are my left hand, the fourth is my right :)
Next is the mani I rocked Friday. I've come across some Sinful Colors lately that are just awesome for stamping. The one I used in this mani is from the Haute Rebel, or Rebel Haute, set I've seen at Walgreens.
My base color is 2 coats of Zoya Lotus, which I think is perfect for this transitional time of year. I topped with Seche and let that dry before I stamped the geometric image on MASH plate 41 using Sinful Colors Rain Storm. The pattern turned out to be more subtle than I expected; I thought the blue would be brighter, but that's ok. Yes, I know my pics are a bit blurry but you can actually see the stamping pretty well in spite of the two dark(ish) colors :)
Good evening! I hope everyone has had a great weekend, holiday or no. Today, I got a second Thanksgiving feast, because my grandma over seas on Thursday. The food was pretty awesome both today and Thursday, which was spent at my brother's house with him and his in-laws. I totally skipped the whole, Black Friday, corporate greed thing, but I did go out on Saturday and managed to support at least one small business. It was the first time I'd ever truly dusty hunted, and I found a brand new bottle of OPI's We'll Always Have Paris Suede :)
Today's challenge for Stamping Sunday was "over a blue base".

My problem wasn't what plates to use, I'd already decided on that. It was which color blue I wanted to use lol. It came to one of my newer ones, China Glaze's Blue Bells Ring from this year's holiday collection. This one is definitely a one coater, but I did two coats anyways. BBR is a metallic blue that tries to be reflective, but doesn't quite make it. It's not shiny enough. And let me tell you, it stains like a mofo. I made a mess of cuticles and whatnot, and man, it was a nightmare to clean up. I am not looking forward to taking this off >.>
My stamped images are snowflakes. I started with a full nail image on MASH 47 with Konad Special White. My thumbs got the image on Red Angel 119 in Color Club Perfect Mol-ten, then all of them got the two images on Bundle Monster 319 in Maybelline Blue Blowout and China Glaze Millenium. I really love how this turned out.

So, today's Stamping Sunday challenge was themed precious jewels. I almost went with my usual and did something with sapphires, but I went against my norm this time.
I picked a beautiful, untried jewel tone Zoya I've had for several months, Suvi. Now, I'm very particular about my greens; not many of them look good with my skintone. So many of them are too yellow and wash me out. Suvi, however, is a gorgeous, dark emerald green frost. The only thing I don't like about this color is that took 3 thin coats for opacity; that's it. I topped Suvi with Poshe and let it dry while I cleaned up my mani.
Ok, my goal after that was to try to make this mani look jewelry-like, but not gaudy or garish. I started flipping through my binder of plates and found a delicate, chainlink looking, full nail image on MASH 41. I stamped that image with China Glaze's Jingle Bells. On my ring fingers, I added a "diamond". I even managed to not smear my stamping! Take a look!
Now, I did have to use a drop of super glue on the "diamond" because I kept popping it off xD Normally I don't do that but it seems I have to when I use Poshe as a topcoat; I don't have that problem with SV lol.

So it seems I'm on a stamping kick lately. I've ordered a new stamper after Sunday's mani fail, I bought a set of Mash plates yesterday, and today's mani features more stamping. I also have a few more stamped manis planned for this week xD I think I have a problem lol.
Today's mani started with two very easy coats of Zoya Myrta. I just love this orange, it's just perfect for summer right now. I topped with SV and waited for it to dry.
For the stamping, I used two plates that have flame images and 3 different colors. The first image I used is on Bundle Monster plate BM08 and stamped that in yellow 2-3 times on each nail. I repeated that step but with orange. Both of those colors I used are Migi nail art pens. These are great because you use them are either a polish or a nail art pen. Here's what they look like.
Mine came as a set of four double sided pens. I really can't tell you how much they are, as they were a Christmas gift :)
For the last little bit of flames, I used Bundle Monster plate BM01 stamped in Zoya Sooki. Topped all with SV again and done. I'm quite proud of how this turned out.
