I hate feeling like I'm getting sick; either get sick or don't >.< I hate this in between crap. That's why I haven't been around this last week. I just haven't had the energy to post, even though I've been going to bed early (for me).
Enough of my whining. I have two manis to show you and a bonus of one of my kittehs :) The first mani is this yesterday's Stamping Sunday challenge, which was crazy neons. This is the first time I've used a white base under any of my neons, and I have to say, I don't really notice a difference in the neon-ness. My base was one coat of Milani White on the Spot. My neons were Zoya Charisma, China Glaze's Splish Splash and Turned Up Turquoise, and Color Club's Disco Dress and All that Razz. The stamped image is from Vivid Lacquer plate 002 stamped in Konad Special White. This was all matte-ified with NYC's Matte me Crazy.
The final mani isn't as neat as I would like, but then I wasn't feeling well all weekend, and it has pretty, bright colors :)
Ok, my other mani is from Friday. The pics just don't do it justice, even with the flash, the weather was that damn gloomy Friday. My base was 3 coats of Zoya Kotori. Obviously, at least to me, I should have capped my free edges each coat, because it really looks like I didn't =\ The stamped image is from Bundle Monster 317 stamoed in Zoya Trixie. The dots are Zoya Tallulah. All topped in Seche.

Good morning! How's everyone getting through another short work week? I'm off today, but that's not unusual for me. Once I get into a salon, which will be soon I'm hoping, I'll long for the days off in the middle of the week, lol.
Ok, so now the holidays are over, the next one being over a month away. I don't know about you all, but I'm definitely craving shades that are easier on the eyes than the all the glitter bombs and festive manis. I'm not quite ready for full on spring colors, more like softer winter colors, and maybe a little texture.
Enter this morning's post. I started with 2 coats of OPI's French Quarter for Your Thoughts. I followed that up with one coat Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper, one coat of Seche, and one coat of NYC's Matte Me Crazy. End result- easy on the eyes, soft color, and a satiny feel thanks to the matte coat.
Texture is a big trend, I think, in the coming months, what with OPI and Zoya both releasing "liquid sand" and "pixiedust" collections. I did pick up just one from the Mariah Carey collex that OPI released on the first, and I think I'll post that next week. To be honest, I've only liked matte, suede, and sand as far as intentional texture. Everything else has to be smooth or it makes my OCD go nuts xD

Well, it's a week till Christmas, do you have your shopping done? I finished mine up today, not that I had too many to shop for. My family draws names every year, so we only have one person to get a gift for, with the exception of myself, my hubs, and my mom. Our birthdays are this month as well :P
Anyways! I want to show you a few manis from this week, starting with today's. I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone and went with a darker green, Zoya's Suvi. I think I've only used once or twice and not as full manis. I did today, though. Suvi applied beautifully, and I achieved for coverage in two coats. I absolutely love how it turned it, but thought it could use a little sparkle. Not glitter but some sparkle.
I pulled out my little used Golden Rose Scale Effects #13. Wow, just wow. I topped it all with Seche, and just for giggles, I added a matte topcoat as an accent on the ring finger. The matte topcoat I used, NYC's Matte Me Crazy, made it look more satiny than matte. It was kind of hard to tell even in bright daylight, but it was still pretty.
Alrighty, Monday's mani was very simple. Using the glue method, I went with glitter- OPI's How's It Snowin'? topped with two coats of Gelous to smooth it out, the Seche. Let me tell you, as much as I hate using acetone to remove glitter, the glue method is almost as much a pain in the ass, at least in a full mani lol. Running my fingers under hot water helped with peeling it off though.
My mom wanted my to dress up her nails after she got them filled yesterday. Her base color is one of my fave reds, OPI's Rose to the Ovation. I pretty much did the same thing on her nails as I did for this past Stamping Sunday. Messy Mansion plate 01, China Glaze's Millenium, dotting tools, Zoya Song and Sure, and Color Club's Ho-Ho-Holly.
