Still catching up.....

Good morning!

I've had an incredibly long few weeks, so this is gonna be a big post :P So let's get started! I've already shown yesterday's mani, so on to Thursday's. It was a simple mani, but I think it was pretty. Both colors are OPI colors, Worth a Pretty Penne and Crawfishin' for a Compliment.

I was supposed to do a water marble for Wednesday, but it just didn't happen. I had my base all ready to go, sat down to do the marble, annnnd nothing lol. At least my base was awesome. I tracked down, and found in a destash, ILNP A.C. Slater. It is such a beautiful holo.

Tuesday's mani was for two IG challenges, the prompts being animal you love and hearts. The base was Colors by Llarowe Sir Purr, from the Football Fever collection (not that I care about football in the least, but I happened to love three of the colors in this collection). The stamped images were all from DRK A3, in MdU lilac.

Monday was a rather uninspired mani for a different IG challenge. I think if I had used either a different base or a darker stamping color, it would have looked better. The base color was Zoya Penny, which is a pretty color. The teddy bear came from Winstonia 207, stamped in MdU brown.

I do love my Valentine's mani, which covers just about all the challenges I had that day, lol. I created a gradient with Zoya Dow and ILNP Champagne Blush. I stamped a heart on the thumb and ring fingers in MdU copper, with the heart from UberChic 1-03.

Saturday's mani is already posted for last week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas post, so on to Friday's. That was an IG challenge mani, and the prompt was sealed with a kiss. My base colors were Colors by Llarowe When Doves Cry and Pirates of Penzance. The kisses were from Sugar Bubbles 002, stamped in MdU red.

Last Thursday's mani was simple. Just KBShimmer's Rust No One. This appeared more orange on me than in the bottle, which looked more red.

For #watermarblepracticewed's prompt that week, hearts, I combined it with another IG prompt, color you love. This what I came up with. I used OPI Angel With a Leadfoot, My Pal Joey, and Rich Girls and Po-Boys. This was my first attempt at a heart water marble.

Tuesday was a gradient with Zoya April and Lake over Purity, then matted with Zoya's matte topcoat.

And finally, that Monday's PAA Mani Monday mani. This was combined with two other IG challenges, and here is the results. Base colors were Colores de Carol Beso and Jasper. Stamped images were from Handy 31 and 32, stamped in MdU red and white.

Christmas..... done!

Good morning!

Christmas is over past us, and we have just New Year's left! It's been a busy, stressful holiday season this year, but I won't bore you with the deets. I have lots of manis to show, so let's get to them!!

This is my simple, but simply stunning Christmas Day mani, ILNP Juliette. I fell in love with this color with the first swatch that Barbra at ILNP previewed. Have I mentioned that I am obsessed with rose gold? Lol, yeah. This has the Precious Metals finish with a sprinkle of holo. My pic doesn't do it justice, it's just so beautiful.

Next is my nails for Christmas Eve. That was actually our family gathering, even though hubs and I had my parents and grandma over yesterday for Christmas dinner. The base was CbL Blue, Blue Christmas, which just screamed to have snowflakes stamped over it. Snowflakes are from Infinity Nails 79 and Winstonia Have a Merry Christmas! plate, stamped in MdU black and silver.

Wednesday's #watermarblepracticewed prompt was holiday of choice. I went with just a general, festive look, or at least what I thought was a festive look. It started with a base of OPI Kyoto Pearl because I wanted a little more depth to the water marble. The water marble was created with all the Color Paints. I didn't really have a pattern in mind, because I wanted a stained glass for the end result. The cathedral windows are from Messy Mansion MM01, stamped in MdU black.

I thought it looked pretty cool, if a little trippy lol.

For Tuesday, I did the 30DoCC challenge a day early, since it was set for Wednesday. The prompt was just Christmas, so I chose to do Christmas cookies. The base is Colores de Carol Gingerbread Cupcakes, and is very appropriately named. That's what is looks like. It's a pretty color. I stamped little gingerbread men from 5 different plates in MdU pinon. The plates were-

Winstonia 222
Handy N1
Winstonia Have a Merry Christmas
Marianne Nails 62
Chez Delaney Xmas 001

Christmas Inlinkz-

Monday's 30DoCC was snowmen. I used My Little Glacier from ILNP, which was one of my birthday gift, and Cold Fusion. I really wish I had had better light to show off those two, but the weather just hasn't been the best. The "snow" is from UberChic 1-03, the snowman Winstonia 120. Both are stamped in MdU white.

Snowman Inlinkz-

Stamping Sunday's challenge was Merry Christmas. I figured that meant the words, Merry Christmas, needed to be somewhere, so that's what I did. The base is CbL Peacock Parade, which isn't quite as blue as my photo makes it appear. The stamping images I used came from Handy N1, MdU Christmas 2, Infinity Nails 79, and Chez Delaney Xmas 001, stamped in MdU silver.

Last Thursday's 30DoCC prompt was silver and gold. The silver and gold was great, and I should have left it at that because the stamping was a flop. You can barely see it -_- The silver was OPI This Gown Needs a Crown, the gold was OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. The ornaments are from Chez Delaney Xmas 001, and were stamped in MdU silver on one, gold on the other.

Silver and gold Inlinkz-

Last Wednesday's water marble prompt was inspired by snow. The water marble was created using Zoya Seraphina, Blu, and Dove over Purity. I added gradient stamped snow from UberChic 1-03 in MdU white and light blue.

Last Tuesday's 30DoCC prompt was holly. The base was ILNP's unbelievably gorgeous Cherry Luxe, also part of the Precious Metals finish. The holly is from Chez Delaney Xmas 001 and stamped in MdU dark green.

Holly Inlinkz-

Last, but not least, is last Monday's IG challenge prompt, winter wonderland. The base Is Zoya Crystal. You can't have a winter wonderland without first have snow and snow flurries :) Those images came Sugar Bubbles SBS 06 and Chez Delaney Xmas 001, and were stamped in MdU silver and white.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Christmas

Good afternoon!

I know I'm a little late in posting last week's 40 Great, but, well, busy lol. BUT here it is!

The base was DIFFERENT dimension 50K, created for her hitting 50K followers on IG. I stamped images from Mundo de Unas Christmas 2, Handy N1, Sugar Bubbles Special 02, and Chez Delaney Xmas 001 in MdU silver.

Christmas Inlinkz-

Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Geeks

Good evening! How is your weekend so far? Mine's pretty decent. Went and got my hair trimmed this morning, and bought a pretty outfit at Target, something that didn't happen much before.

This week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas prompt was geeks. That's a broad range of ideas. I've seen some pics of things I hadn't thought of. I went with a video game geeky thing, and chose one of the best video games ever, Pac Man :)

The base color was OPI Alpine Snow. All the stamping images were from Handy 31, in MdU black. Pac Man and the ghosts were filled in with colors from the Color Paints collection, Landscape Artist, Pen & Pink, Turquoise Aesthetic, Primarliy Yellow, and Chromatic Orange. I jacked up the stamping a little, but still like how it looked overall.

Is it fall yet.....?

Good afternoon!

I am so ready for fall already. A friend of mine on Face Book had posted a pic this morning that pretty much summed up how I feel; about being ready for hoodies, and pumpkins, and what not. I'm not quite ready for fall colors, I'm still enjoying summer brights, but I could definitely use a serious change of weather lol.

Until that much longed for season decides to put in an appearance here, I'm stuck with summer -_- I'll keep plugging along with my summer bright manis.

Okay, so as it's become my habit, I joined today's #watermarblepracticewed on IG. Today's prompt was petals. I had some difficulty getting my petals drawn, but managed a few. The colors I used were all China Glaze:

White on White
Dance Baby
Lemon Fizz
Bahamian Escape
Aquadelic

Topped with Seche, of course.

Yesterday was the tape mani prompt of this week's 52WPNMC. Again, I used China Glaze for this mani: White on White, Liquid Leather, and Fuchsia Fanatic.

Inlinkz to the others:

Monday's mani satisfied prompts for three challenges- PAA Mani Monday (feather), 30DoCC (turquoise), and 52WPNMC (green). Base color was Morgan Taylor Gotta Have Hue. The peacock images were from Uber Chic UC 1-02, stamped in Mundo light gold.

Inlinkz for 30DoCC:

I totally slacked on doing Stamping Sunday, but in my defense, I have absolutely no plates ending in the number 43, so I felt a little less bad for not doing it lol. It was just a simple mani of Zoya Mae.

Black and white was the order of the day Friday. Zoya Raven and Purity were the bases, Mundo black, white, and red the stamping colors. Stamping plates were Handy 39, bornprettystore BP-15, and Sugar Bubbles SB 002.

Inlinkz:

Last Thursday's mani was kinda fallish with its colors, Zoya Tanzy and Apple.

A lot of catching up to do!

Good afternoon!

Sorry for being MIA; I tots blew off blogging last week because the lazy days of summer so caught up with me :P Because of that, I have a lot to show y'all today, so let's get to it, shall we?

First up is today's mani. It's for the 52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge. I chose to do only one of the prompts because, to be honest, I didn't want to do the other lol. So here is my aqua mani. Three coats of Zoya Rayne with Mundo lime and Uber Chic UC 1-01 stamped over.

Inlinkz to the other bloggers:

Yesterday's mani was for the 30 Days of Colour Challenge, metallic and/or gradient. My colors were China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around and Meet me in the Mirage.

Inlinkz:

Stamping Sunday's challegne was using a plate that ended in A-M. I don't own hardly any plates that end in letters, so I just went with the first letters :) The base is a gradient of China Glaze New Birth, Kinetic Candy, and Aquadelic over White on White. Double and triple stamped with Vivid Lacquer VL019 and Mundo black.

So very proud of that one!

The Fourth of July was Saturday, and I chose to do Friday's 30DoCC that day instead. The prompts were glitter and/or patriotic. I'm not really happy with how it turned out, but it's what I came up with on short time. Base colors are Zoya Dream and Blaze, stamped over with Mundo white and Vivid Lacquer VL002 and VL-02 from aliexpress.

Inlinkz:

I didn't work Friday, but I did go shopping and catch some great sales, so of course my nails were done :) I did a splatter with all China Glaze colors: Liquid Leather, Wait 'N Sea, Treble Maker, That's Shore Bright, and Let the Beat Drop.

I'm not really sure where I was going with Thursday's mani, but I like what I came up. I used OPI's The Berry Thought of You and I Sea You Wear OPI. The glitter is TNT from Formula X for Sephora. I did use a white undie with Berry, it was Put a Coat On! from OPI.

Last Wednesday, I took part in a water marble challenge that's going around Instagram. The prompt was patriotic. Wasn't happy with how half of my mani came out but I wasn't redoing it lol. Colors used were Zoya Purity, Sooki, Ling, and Trixie.

Last Tuesday's mani fulfilled prompts for both the 30DoCC and the 52WPNMC: Skittles, stamping, and pastels. The base colors were most of the Color Club Poptastic Pastel Neons:

Feathered Hair Out to There
'Til the Record Stops
Meet me at the Rink
Diggin' the Dancing Queen
Disco's Not Dead

Stamped over them was Mundo navy and Emily de Molly EDM03, then matted with Wet 'n Wild's matte topcoat.

Inlinkz to both:

I don't remember entirely what last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompt, but I do know patriotic was in there. I did up a patriotic splatter for it, using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Red Hot Rio, and Road House Blues. The stars were picked out from Pure Ice Freedom.

Stamping Sunday was....... something I don't remember, because I didn't do it. Instead, I did a mani that was inspiration by another. I honestly don't remember the person's name, but I wanted to be clear mine was inspired by hers. Base colors were China Glaze Liquid Leather and White on White, over which I added Point me to the Party. Over the white nails, I stamped images from UC 1-01 and 1-02 in Mundo black. This was also for the glitter prompt for the 30DoCC.

Inlinkz:

Took a break that Saturday, so nothing for that, but I do have a Textured Friday mani. These are China Glaze In the Rough and OPI Wharf! Wharf! Wharf!.

Almost done! Two manis to go! This next one was the navy prompt for the 52WPNMC. The navy was OPI Light my Sapphire, paired with OPI You're So Outta Lime! over Put a Coat On!. Mundo nabu and UC 1-03 stamped over the accents. I actually really like how this one turned. Another that I wasn't sure where I was going with.

Inlinkz:

And lastly, the shimmer/silhouette prompt for the 30DoCC. I used my most precious child, OPI Santiago Sangria, as the base. Stamped images came from Messy Mansion MM50 and Handy 47, stamped in Mundo black.

Whew! All done!!

I'm still here!

Good evening!

I've just had a super busy week/end, and haven't had a chance to stay caught up. Let's get right to it! I've got a lot I want to show off :)

Today was National Breast Cancer Day; of course, I did up a pink mani. Not quite what I wanted to do, but my back had other plans for me last night. I was just happy to not go to work today with naked nails lol. It was simple, just two coats of Zoya Star and a coat of Sally Hansen Glass Slipper, with a coat of Seche. Simple, pretty, and pink!

Alrighty, now I vote for yesterday's Stamping Sunday, but I was unfortunately able to take part. The theme called for spooky and scary, and I didn't think that would fly too well for the church function I attended yesterday :P I did, however, opt for a a Halloween look that went over very well.

I created a candy corn gradient, using Zoya Thandie, Darcy, and Purity, over 2 coats of Purity. Topped with Seche, then matted with Zoya's new matte topcoat. First, I absolutely love this new matte coat! It's just fab! Second, everyone just loved this mani. Third, my pics make it look waaaay brighter than it really was (at least to me).

Friday's textured look was a fail, in my opinion, but I'll show it anyways. Up on their site, Zoya has a fall trend guide with some really pretty ideas. I decided I wanted to give this one a try, using similar colors. I picked Margo for my base and Arabella for the gradient. Margo itself was gorgeous and easy to apply, only needing 2 coats for opacity. I matted it, then got to work on the gradient.

Yeah, that didn't quite turn out how I thought it would. Pretty sure that's user error >.< You be the judge.

For Thursday, I redid a mani that I had done either last year or the before, Halloween goggly eyes. This particular idea seems to be really popular this year, because it seems like I'm seeing it everywhere. That's kinda why I wanted to do it, and because I don't think my first attempt was very good.

All this mani was, was 2 coats of Zoya Black Swan, eyes created first using Purity and a dotting tool, then Black Swan again with a smaller sized dotting tool. I made sure to wait a bit before topcoating so the eyes didn't smear.

Wednesday was a pink glitter bomb. It started with a base of 1 coat of OPI's Ate Berries in the Canaries, followed by 2 coats of You Glitter be Good to Me!. I believe I used two coats of Seche to smooth it out.

Now, this mani gave me the opportunity to try out the foil method of removing glitter. I must say, I'm very impressed and I now no longer fear glitter bombs!

Tuesday, I finally got to do a Monthly Palette Project, mostly because there wasn't one post for last month. Here's what we had to work with:

The challenge called for using at least two of the colors and double stamping. I used Zoya Neely as my base color, at three coats. The first stamped image came from Pueen 73 and was stamped in Mundo de Unas high green. The pumpkins came from Messy Mansion MM23 and those were stamped in Mundo de Unas reddish. Everything was topped with Seche.

And, last Monday was a girly, Minnie Mouse mani. The base color was 2 coats of OPI's Suzi has a Swede Tooth. The stamped images came from Sugar Bubbles SB017, Handy 32, and Chez Delaney Divers 001, all stamped in Mundo de Unas black. The glitter is OPI's Minnie Style. Everything topped with Seche.
