Happy Saturday

Good evening and happy Saturday!

Let's get down to the manis! Yesterday's mani was already posted, so on to Thursday's, it was one for Earth Day. I did a gradient of blue and green, using Colors by Llarowe Bananas and Krispy Kremes are Better than HBO and KP.

For #watermarblepracticewed, that prompt was also Earth Day. Again, I used blue and green, even if it doesn't look like. The colors nearly blended together lol. I used Fair Maiden Bisous and Santorini Bikini, over China Glaze White on White.

Tuesday's mani was a combined prompt mani. One prompt was green, the other is gold stars. The green is DIFFERENT dimensions Accept Understand Love from this month's The Holo Hookup box. The gold stars are actually bronze and are from DRK A3.

Monday's mani was inspired by some beautiful tulips my hubs bought for me last weekend. It fit the prompt for an IG challenge. The base was Saran Wrap mani of China Glaze White on White, Red-y to Rave, and Hot Flash. The tulips are from FUN 14, stamped in MdU black. Matted with China Glaze Matte Magic.

Another flower prompt mani! This was created with Lilypad Lacquer Lemony, which is a lovely yellow with a subtle linear holo, and UberChic 1-02 in MdU white.

That previous week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt was April showers. I drew inspiration from wind currents, storm churned waters, and dark skies. The base was ILNP Blue Steel, with Zoya Lake and OPI Nail Envy for the water marble.

That Tuesday's mani wasn't a challenge prompt one, so I kept it simple. The base color was Different Not Less from Bliss Polish, my first from that indie. It's such a beautiful blue. I stamped little kitties over it from Mo You London Kitty 15, in MdU white.

I did that week's PAA Mani Monday prompt, shades of grey, combined with a birds challenge prompts. The grey base was Colors by Llarowe Beat It. I don't have many birds images, oddly enough; the only one I have is on Bundle Monster 614. I stamped it in MdU light grey.

Almost done! That Sunday's mani was a combined prompt mani, too. Prompts were neon and floating hearts. Colors used were China Glaze White on White, and DIFFERENT dimension Boogie, Psyche, and Full Spectral. The hearts are from DRK A3, stamped in MdU black.

Last one! It was for a mint green prompt, and I couldn't resist using this color again. It's so beautiful, I just love it. It's Cirque Colors Mint Chip.

Time to catch up again!

Good morning!

Boy, I'll be happy when summer comes around, and things start slowing down enough at work so I'm not so exhausted on my evenings and weekends. This snowbird season has been insane :P Because of it, I have some catching up do again, so here we go!

Yesterday was PAA Mani Monday, and the one prompt I chose to do was orange. I combined it with an IG challenge that I'm taking part in. The orange is DIFFERENT dimension Witch and Famous, which I had been wanting since I first saw it. The IG challenge prompt I combined with dotticure. I didn't do a true dotticure, but stamped it with an image from UberChic 1-03 and MdU lime. At least I kept it from looking Halloweeny or fallish!

Nothing for the weekend, and that was a good thing because I put my second Helmer together and managed to bang up my hands in doing so XD. Friday's mani has been posted already, so one to last Thursday's!

I made a decision recently to seriously work on my gradients. I have had a few turn out spectacular, but most don't. This one falls under those that don't, lol, mostly because one of my colors didn't want to build nicely. Colors used were all China Glaze- White on White, In the Near Fuchsia, and My Way or the Highway.

If My Way or the Highway had covered better, I think this would have looked nicer.

For last week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt, the prompt was incorporate dots. Easy peasy. I started with a base of China Glaze White on White. My marble was created with China Glaze colors also- Secret Peri-Wink-Le and Bahamian Escape. The dots were Boho Blues.

Okay, last Tuesday's mani combined two challenge prompt, blue and emoji, and here's what I came up with. The yellow base is Morgan Taylor Doo Wop, which wasn't too bad to work with. I only needed three coats of it for this mani. Now, the only plate I could find I have with anything close to emoji was Bundle Monster plate 304. I stamped the image in MdU sky blue.

I skipped out on doing last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompt, and did an IG challenge prompt, in love with pink. Another gradient, this one using OPI colors- Mod About You, Suzi has a Swede Tooth, and Spare me a French Quarter?. Unfortunately, SV decided to smear or pick up color on a few nails -_-

Stamping Sunday's mani also had a gradient base that I should have left as is, because the stamping didn't show up very well. Colors used were also OPI- That's Hula-rious! and I'm sooo Swamped. The stamping image came from Loja BBF 19, stamped in MdU bones.

That Friday's mani was posted already, so on to that Thurday's! This was a combined challenge mani, prompts being magic and unicorn. The gradient I created for the base was pretty damn magical, in my opinion lol. I think it was my first time doing a holo gradient, too. The holos I used were ILNP Pixie Dust and You're my Boy, Blue. The stamped images were from Nail Ways A-NW00012 and Vivid Lacquer 019, stamped in MdU white.

The #watermarblepracticewed prompt for that week was water spotting, something I haven't been real successful with, but I decided to give it another go. That gorgeous periwinkle base is ninezero February 2016. For the spotting, I used Wet 'N Wild Black Creme.

That Tuesday, the challenge prompt I did was food I love. I love food in general, lol, but especially desserts. Specifically, my husband's cookies, so that was the inspiration for this mani. Colors used were Zoya Spencer, Taylor, and Emilia, in a Saran Wrap mani and dotting.

And, finally, something a little racy! PAA Mani Monday for that week had a dry brush prompt as one of the choices. I combined that with an IG challenge prompt of hot and spicy. My dry brush mani was created using all OPI colors-

Alpine Snow
I'm sooo Swamped
Rich Girls and Po-Boys
I Manicure for Beads
Black Onyx

The stamped images are from the naughty plate that MdU sells, stamped in MdU white.

40 Great Nail Ideas- pastels

Good evening!

Yay for posting this week's challenge this week! Lol. So, as the title says, this week's prompt was pastels, and my personal prompt was decals. I combined this with a challenge from IG that also had the prompt of water decals, and here is my resulting mani :)

The pastel base is a Saran Wrap mani of OPI That's Hula-rious!, Gelato on my Mind, and Crawfishin' for a Compliment. The water decals I used were from Dashing Diva. Ignore my naked pinky, the smaller decals just didn't want to work so I left them nakey.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- fashion

Good morning!

Sorry for the lateness of this post. I simply ran out of time over the last few days to post this mani, but here it is!

Last week's 40GNAI prompt was fashion. Normally, I would quail at the thought of this particular prompt; after all, I'm not exactly fashionable, but I do know what I like and have my own style. My inspiration for this mani was a dress that Dress Barn had posted on their FB within the last few weeks; it's actually something I would buy for myself, it's so pretty and feminine.

The base for my mani was done with the Saran Wrap technique, using OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI and Zoya Violet. The stamping was done with MdU pink and UberChic 1-03. First, the dress that was my inspiration.

And then the mani I came up with.

Oh, and I matted with Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- 3 shades of purple

Good evening! Happy Friday!

This week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas prompt was 3 shades of purple. My presonal prompt was camo print. Here's what I came up with :)

The base is a Saran Wrap mani of Zoya April and Leah. The camo print is from Vivd Lacquer 010 and stamped in MdU velvet. I added a coat of Zoya's Satin Seal topcoat.

I know, I know.....

Good afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend :) I'm just glad to have made it through to the weekend; I had a hell of a week, that was compounded by trying to get sick. Thankfully, I didn't get fully sick, but I was left feeling tired and crappy like you would just before you get sick. That's why I haven't posted in nearly two weeks. Because of that, I have some catching up to do, so get comfy!

I did up my nails yesterday because I had some errand running to do. I managed to snap a pic of what is still on my nails as I type this, Colors by Llarowe Falsetto Child. OMG, I love this polish! It's just a chameleon. In some lights, it wants to be teal, others it shows navy, and in a few it wants to be a steely blue. I think it's a linear holo multichrome, even though Llarowe lists as a holo only.

I finally got around to trying out the other two Satins from the Zoya NYFW trio, Antoinette and Dagmara. I did accents of one on my left, accents of the other on my right. Over the accents, I stamped inspirational words from Bundle Monster 705 in MdU bones. I topcoated over the stamping, then re-Satined them with Zoya's Satin topcoat.

I skipped out on this week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt and did a mani for Veteran's Day. The base colors were ILNP Closure and Honor Roll. Closure got poppies stamped over from UberChic 1-02 in MdU white. Honor Roll got a water marble (that I wasn't real happy with....) over with OPI Nail Envy and Wet 'N Wild French White.

Tuesday, I did a prompt for a challenge on IG, it was purple. The base color was OPI Gelato on my Mind (I love this color!), the Shatter was Super Bass.

That week's PAA Mani Monday prompt that I chose to do was blue Diabetes Awareness. I have two relatives, my dad and his sister, that have Diabetes, which puts me at a greater risk for it =\ The base color was Zoya Progressive Blue, or Flo as I call it. The dots were stamped from UberChic 1-03 in MdU mint. I know they look blue, but I swear it was mint I used lol.

Because I started feeling sick last weekend, I didn't do my nails at all, so on to the previous Thursday! It was for a flash challenge in ANS, feathers. I was going for a cardinal's look, don't think I really nailed it. The base was a Saran Wrap mani of Zoya Janel and Quinn, and ILNP Closure. The feather image was from VL-4 from aliexpress in MdU black.

That Wednesday's #watermarblepractice prompt was random design. The base is Zoya Purity. For some reason, I could not get any of my whites to marble, so I used Nail Envy with Zoya Sia to create the marble.

And the last one! It was for an IG challenge as well, the prompt being under the sea. I busted out Emily de Molly Dark Depths for the base color. The stamping colors were MdU bones, pale yellow, mint, sunflower, sky blue, and white. The images came from Bundle Monster 501, 504, 506, and 510.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- Hobbies!

Good evening!

I've got a quick little post for you tonight :) October has brought about new challenges. As the title implies, the new challenge I'm participating in for the new year is called 40 great nail art ideas. Each week, participants will post their designated prompts.

This week's prompt was called hobbies. I have many hobbies, but limited ways of creating a mani with one lol. I chose to do reading, because that's something I've loved to do since the 6th grade. I didn't always have a love for reading, mainly because I did poorly in school for a few years. Once I got into it, though, I didn't look back.

The base of this mani is a Saran Wrap mani, with OPI's You're so Vain-illa and My Vampire is Buff. The stamped images are from Messy Mansion MM24, stamped in MdU navy and brown. Matted wtih OPI's Matte topcoat.

Time to catch up again!

Hello, and good afternoon! I hope your Monday is going well :)

So, it's time for me to catch up again. Things just got hectic around here last week; then, when I wanted to post, my USB cable for my phone wouldn't connect -_- Had to wait until today, but here it is!

Today's PAA Mani Monday prompt was water marble/waterfall. Of course, I chose water marble. This also knocks out the same prompt for the 52WPNMC, yay! This water marble was directly inspired by another member of PAA, so credit goes to Lo Figuero :)

Colors used were Zoya Willa, Prim, and Haven, and OPI Nail Envy. Zoya's matte topcoat to matte it.

Inlinkz for the 52SPNMC:

Sunday I didn't have anything on my nails, because I didn't go anywhere :P But Saturday was my nephew's birthday. My thumbs, index, and rings were done with KBShimmer's Funky Cold Patina. The water marble accents were Zoya Serenity and Cecelia over Tiffany.

Friday was Michael Jackson's birthday, so I had to do a mani for that. Both colors used were from Colors by Llarowe's MJ Tribute collections. They're the only two I own, Thriller and Smooth Criminal. I created a gradient with them, my first holo gradient, I might add lol. The stamped images came from the Chez Delaney MJ plate, stamped in MdU white.

I did a little TBT last week, breaking out my black Shatter. I layered it over OPI's Get Cherried Away. I think I'm finally ready for some fall colors, because it certainly reminded me of fall.

#watermarblepracticewed's prompt last week was fishtail braid. I think mine was more of a fail, but I had to try. The colors I used were Zoya Sia (OMG I love this blue!), Nana, and Neely over Purity.

Last Tuesday was a dotticure. All colors were OPI-

My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Suzi has a Swede Tooth
My Dogsled is a Hybrid
Get Cherried Away

OPI's matte topcoat for the matteness.

For last Monday's PAA Mani Monday, the prompt was August birthday symbols. I chose to do a peridot colored mani, using Zoya Jace and Stassi.

The previous Saturday, I had a memorial service to attend for a dear friend. I didn't want anything too flashy, but not completely boring either. My base color for this mani was KBShimmer Pt Young Thing, which is a goregous silver holo. I stamped over that with roses from BBF19 in MdU black.

That Friday's mani, I'm not sure where I was going with it lol. Looking back at it, it feels kinda unfinished, but I wasn't sure what else to do with it. It was a Saran Wrap mani with Zoya Kristen and Skylar. I like the look, I just think it needed something else....

And, lastly, that Thursday's main. It was a MATTE ALL THE FLAKIEZ!! day. The base was OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay with ILNP Kaleidoscope layered over it. OPI matte topcoat to finish it.

Summer fun!

Good afternoon! Whew, it's a sweltering day here x.x One of those afternoons that you wish you could sit in a cool pool with a cool drink. Summer is definitely here!

Summer also hit my nails pretty well this last week. Several brightly colored manis with summery themes. I'm quite proud with how most of them turned out. Shall we take a look?

I think today's is my absolute best Saran Wrap mani to date. I love how easy they are, and they're not real messy. This mani was one of the prompts for the 52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge; I'll be doing the other later in the week. I started with a base of China Glaze White on White (all colors are China Glaze, actually). The first color on was UV Meant to Be, second was (what I believe is a mislabeled as Are You Jelly?) Beach Cruise-r, third and final color was Liquid Leather. SV to seal it.

Inlinkz to other bloggers:

Yesterday's mani I feel like was a fail. It was my first time doing a waterfall mani. I've seen so many pretty ones, and I wanted to try it as my submission for the 30 Days of Colour Challenges prompts (monochromatic and/or matte). I don't think it's horrible, I just didn't care for it much. The colors and matte topcoat I used are all from Zoya. Layla was the base, pretty color by the way. Binx, Eden, Nana, and Margo were used to create the waterfall look.

Inlinkz for the others:

Okay, I am ridiculously happy with Monday's mani. It was the prompts for PAA Mani Monday, white and silver only and/or roses. My base was Zoya Genesis. Now, I got that collection last month; in fact, it showed up the day I had say goodbye to my Merlyn. I was gonna try to go to work the next day, so I did up my nails with Genesis. I determined then that it needed thinner the next time. The formula reminded me very much of China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around. It was thick, but patchy even after three coats.

Thinner went into it before applying it, and that seemed to help. I still needed three coats, though. Genesis is a gorgeous color, so I'll put up with it. Last week, I got my new UberChic plates, and I knew what image I wanted to use in this mani. I'm astonished at how well the rose stamped. It's from UC 1-02, stamped in MdU silver.

Stamping Sunday's challenge was summer nails. Nothing says summer to me more than bright colors, sunglasses, tropical flowers, and fruity drinks. I created a water marble using Zoya Shelby, Ling, Arizona, and Wednesday for my base. The stamped images were from the Bundle Monster Sunkissed collection, 507 and 508. The stamping polishes were MdU tutti, navy, and lime.

Friday was another mani for the 30DoCC. The prompts for were purple and/or Sharpie marbling. I think mine turned out pretty cool. Color Club's Diggin' the Dancing Queen served as the base, with the color Valley Girl in a Sharpie marbled over it. This was another mani I used an UberChic plate for, this time UC 1-01. Also used MdU tutti for it.

Inlinkz for these prompts:

Thursday was a rather tame day. It was just Zoya Apple on my nails. I was surprised to see that it wasn't too yellow for me. This was 3 coats.

And lastly, last Wednesday was another offering for the 52WPNMC. The prompts were pink and lilac and/or roses. My pink and lilac watercolor was a fail, to me. They were OPI's Sparrow me the Drama and Planks a Lot. The roses were FUN 14 in MdU violet.
