Sorry for the lack of posting for two weeks. I unintentionally took a break last week, because I was dealing with the death of an old, dear friend. It shook me up pretty bad, because he was my age and I had known him for two-thirds of my life. Very sad =\
So, now I have a back log of manis to show y'all. Grab your favorite drink and relax, and let's get started!
I have two manis featuring the same colors, today's and last Wednesday's. Yes, they're both water marble for the IG thing lol. I finally picked up the OPI Color Paints, minus Silver Canvas (because I have plenty of silvers....), and I really like them! They marble well, but I do need to try them for a gradient.
Today's prompt for #watermarblepracticewed was swirls. My swirls are definitely not..... swirly swirly, but I tried! I used every Color Paint color over Unfrost my Heart, also from OPI. Sorry for the crappy pic, I had a really hard time trying to capture this mani.
Yesterday's mani was a prompt for the 52WPNMC, pale pink. I absolutely adore how this turned out! These were all OPI colors, also. Pink Friday, Worth a Pretty Penne, and Rose of Light. I did a gradient of Pink Friday and Worth a Pretty Penne first, then added Rose of Light.

For Monday's PAAManiMonday, I want something a little vampy. One of the prompts was summer fruits, so I went with it. My base color was OPI Black Cherry Chutney (get it....?). The stamped cherries were from Sugar Bubble 002, stamped in MdU Barbie.
Stamping Sunday has been suspended until next month, so I just picked something. I hadn't used Darling Diva Blue Diamond in quite a while, so that was my base. I picked an image from UberChic UC1-02 and stamped it in MdU silver.
No Textured Friday last week, because I had no new textures to show you :( I did have a new holo, though, Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance. It's not super holo-y, but it is a pretty, glowy red with a subdued linear holo.
For last week's 52WPNMC, the prompt I picked with hot pink. Enter in Zoya Hayden.

Now for last Wednesday's water marble prompt, diagonal stripes. This was probably the easiest water marble I've ever done :P As I said earlier, all the Color Paints were used for this.
I didn't realize until last week I hadn't yet used Zoya Selene in a mani. On my toes, yes, but not on my fingers. I quickly rectified that. This is Selene with butterflies from UC 1-02 in silver.
I regard last Monday's PAAManiMonday a fail for me. The prompt I picked with pink and gold. It looked so much better in my head than on the nail, I should have stuck with my original idea -_- This is Zoya Brooke with China Glaze Tarnished Gold.
Last Sunday was the last Stamping Sunday prompt, inspirational words. I chose happy :) The base is Colors by Llarowe Meet me Over the Rainbow Bridge. The images are from Messy Mansion MM50 and UC 1-02, in MdU black.
And lastly, my last Textured Friday mani. This is Free Fall from Formula X for Sephora.

Anyways. Here's my offering of manis to you, starting with today's 52WPNMC prompt, tie dye. I didn't do tie dye, per se, more a tie dye look. I created a vertical gradient using crellies I have from the China Glaze Electric Nights collection. This was done over a white base, of course, and topped with Seche Vite. Colors used are as follows:

For yesterday's #watermarblepracticewed, the prompt was over a glitter base. I had recently repurchased OPI DS Titanium, mainly because I felt I gave it an unfair boot. I layered a coat of it over OPI Incognito in Sausalito. For the water marble, I used Nail Envy and My Dogsled is a Hybrid.
I actually really like how this looked :) Topped with Seche Vite.
Tuesday, I tried a new to me Zoya, Ginger. Okay, this not the color I envision with a name like Ginger, but Zoya has a habit of doing that. Ginger is what I would call tiger lily orange, and is similar in finish to Zoya Lianne. Ginger was surprisingly opaque in 2 coats, where Lianne takes 3. I stamped over Ginger with Mundo brown and UberChic UC 1-01. Looks kinda fallish, but I liked it.
Monday was just a stamping over of Sunday's mani, which was ILNP Float On. Omg, I just love this color, it's so gorgeous, and it was opaque in two coats! I haven't tried to stamp with it yet, but I bet it would. Stamped over it is Messy Mansion MM42 in Mundo mint.

I had a new textured polish to try out last Friday, yay!! It was Marine for Formula X for Sephora, from the Sea Glass collection. Love the color, it's so pretty. Marine is an oddly smooth textured polish; the longer I wore it, the more I thought it should have been topcoated, but I don't topcoat textures. They usually eat topcoat. Marine was opaque in two coats, and was easy to apply.
Last Thursday was the last prompt of the month, and for a month or two, of the 30DoCC. One of the prompts was grey, which is what I picked to do. For that, I used Zoya Temperance, which I hadn't used yet. This is a pretty grey with a pinkish shimmer to it. Reminded me a bit of an OPI, but I can't think of it. Temperance did fine with just two coats.

Good afternoon! How is your Tuesday afternoon? :) Is it bright and colorful and spring ready? Blah, I think Florida didn't get the memo for spring this year, and jumped right into summer x.x Not happy!
But I have several manis that I am incredibly happy with that I want to show off today. I think just about all of them feature new colors/collections. Shall we get started?
Today's mani, I know for sure, featured a new polish and a new stamping polish. The base color is Periwinkle in Time from KBShimmer. I have been on such a periwinkle kick lately, but I've had a difficult time finding true periwinkles. PiT needed three coats for opacity, then SV before stamping.
Mundo de Unas came out with new stamping colors for spring last month, a set of 8 colors. I ordered the entire set and received them yesterday. I wasn't sure how well Mint was going stamp over PiT, but it stamped just fine. It didn't blend in the base at all. The stamping plate I used was Pet'la Geomatrix, and sealed it with SV.
Yesterday was a water marble day with all Zoya colors. Purity for the base, and Lillian, Tiana, Cole, and Eden for the marble. I am so proud of how far my water marbles have come :)
I didn't take part in this week's Stamping Sunday challenge, mostly because I was lacking inspiration for the theme. I chose instead to do a stamped gradient. The gradient base was all China Glaze colors (which I have fallen back in love with.....). White on White for blank base, and Lemon Fizz, Highlight of my Summer, and Bottoms Up with a sprinkling of Fairy Dust then SV. I almost didn't stamp over that, I was so happy with how this gradient looked, but stamped I did. MdU turquoise and Pet'la Geomatrix for the stamping, then SV.
Textured Friday featured my last, new to me textured polish, Formula X by Sephora Nova. This is a pretty, lighter red, kind of like the one from the Minnie Mouse collection. This mani was 2 coats.
Last Thursday was another water marble, this one featuring Morgan Taylor colors. The white base was All White Now, the marble colors were Watt Yel-lookin' At? and OPI's Incognito in Sausalito. SV then Morgan Taylor's Matte's a Wrap.
For last Wednesday, I used the newly released Peri Me from I Love Nail Polish. Peri Me is a beautiful perwinkle linear holo; of course, I had to have it :P My mani needed 3 coats. SV, then stamped with MdU Fiji and Winstonia W-318, then another coat of SV.
And, finally, last Tuesday was simply 3 coats of Zoya Lola. Lola is quite easily the brightest, most obnoxious pink I own and have worn, next to Zoya Ali. It freaked my camera out a little bit, but this pic is pretty close to what it looks like. Since it dries kinda matte, topcoat is a muse, so SV on top of it.
At least here in Florida it has! I think we've seen the last of winter as of last week =\ I'm not ready for the warm weather we've been having, but hey, what can you do?

Today's mani was inspired by this pretty green top I have that I got at Macy's. Let tell you, this top is more green in person than what it shows on the site. However, ^^^that pic is more what my mani should have been inspired by :P Either way, I love how it turned out.
The base color wsa 2 coats of Colors by Llarowe Thriller. I only just got this in the last few weeks; I really regretted not getting it when it was first released. Sadly, though, I think the Michael Jackson tribute collections are discontinued because they are no longer listed on the site. Glad I got it when I did! Stamped over Thriller were images from my FUN 14 plate and Mundo de Unas black. Seche to seal it.
The challenge for Stamping Sunday this week was black and white. For my base, I applied three coats of Morgan Taylor's All White Now. In spite of needing three coats, this white is pretty nice. Applied right, you could do just two coats. It's not horribly streaky or patchy, or too thick. The black was Color Club's Beyond, the image from Born Pretty Store bp-15. I'm a little impressed with how nicely this plate stamped, considering my first plate were from BPS, and they were crap.
A few weeks ago, I picked up a new to me texture from Formula X for Sephora. I recall hearing about a texture collection from them last year, but, since I live an hour from the closest Sephora, I never followed up on it. I found Galaxy in a destash sale and snapped it. It applied a little thick, but was opaque and gritty (lol) in two coats. I know my pics make it look black, but it's actually navy blue, and it stains a little. The gold sparkle in the bottle doesn't translate to the nail.
Thursday's mani was bright and fun, at least to me. It reminded my very of some the clothes I wore in 90's :P You could say it was Throwback Thursday mani. Anywas, the base was three coats of OPI's You Are So Outta Lime!, which was layered over 2 coats of OPI's Put a Coat On!. Over Lime went a coat of Salon Perfect's Rogh Around the Edges, then two coats of Seche.
I think Wednesday's mani has got to be my most favorite mani, ever. It's rather simple, no nail art at all, but it's just so gorgeous. The base was three coats of KBShimmer's Low and Be Bold, which is just.... wow. I don't have a blue even like this, and I have a lot of blues. The closest would have to be Nails, Inc. Baker Street, and it's more cobalt. It's nowhere near as vibrant as this. It's almost crelly like its formula, which is why it needed three coats. Over this beauty went two coats of Dark Matter, also from KBShimmer, then a coat of Seche, then Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.
Tuesday was another mani featuring KBShimmer, this one Funky Cold Patina. This crelly is so awesome! First, I just love the name. Funky Cold Patina= Funky Cold Medina :) Second, THAT COLOR!! Such a beautiful turquoise. Love! Formula was easy to work with; I needed three coats, but that was more user error than anything else.
I almost stamped over this, to make it more turquoise stone like, but I ran out of time that night. Seche smoothed it out nicely.
Good Saturday afternoon! I hope y'all are having a better weekend than we are here in soggy SWFL >.< It's been rainy and dreary for the last three days and is supposed to be like this for a few more, ugh. I think it's making up for the lack of rain and killer heat we had last month lol.
I want to show you a couple manis I had from yesterday and Thursday. Not only do they feature new (to me, on one of them) colors, but also new stamping stuff!
About...... 3 weeks ago, I think, I saw swatches of Formula X for Sephora's latest collection. I believe they were all mattes, but the one that screamed out for me was Prophecy. Out of all the matte polishes I own, I definitely lack in a bold, vibrant blue. Yes, yes, I know, I could use one of my umpteen million matte coats to achieve the look, but even with all the blues I have, I don't think I have one like Prophecy. One of my awesome Face Book friends hooked me up and got Prophecy to me :)
That is what I wore on my nails yesterday. Now, I had read that these Formula X mattes were prone to chipping, and I also wanted to stamp over Prophecy. I did up a regular mani, with two coats of color followed by a coat of Seche, and cleaned it up while it dried. Prophecy does dry quick on its own, but I wasn't gonna take the chance of smearing the base trying to stamp.
This is where the new stamping stuff comes in :) The stamping polish is, of course, Mundo de Unas in silver, which came in my last from Mundo. The stamping plate is a new release from Messy Mansion, MM42, and I got new squishy stamper heads!! For those of you that stamp and want squishy replacement heads, you need to get the Messy Mansions. I ordered the medium soft set, and I swear to you, they are better than my original white marshmallow! Also, I did not need to prime this set, they worked beautifully right out the package. They're perfectly squishy and sticky, and there's and even softer and stickier set!
My mani was finished up with a coat of Morgan Taylor's Matte's a Wrap. It didn't seem to smear my stamping as much as other matte topcoats have, which is nice, and Prophecy was returned to its original glowing matte-ness.
For Thursday's mani, I didn't have a lot time to put together a look, so really, I just grabbed a red creme, added a flakie, and was done. This is two coats of Zoya America, which is one of those gorgeous pin up reds, and one coat of Zoya Chloe. I wanted the flakie to be more subtle, that's why I did only one coat of Chloe. Topped with Seche and done!
