Stamping Sunday!

Good evening!

Yay for me on actually posting a Stamping Sunday mani on Sunday! Today's theme was, simply, Merry Christmas. Easy peasy :P

I chose to use last year's Ulta exclusive holiday set of OPI colors: Skip the Giftwrap, Giftcards for Everyone!, and Last Minute Shopper. I love these colors, they applied so nicely and evenly. Each only needed two coats for opacity. I topped all colors with Seche before stamping. Plates used were Mo You Festive 06 and Konad M64 (I think), stamped in Pure Ice Silver Mercedes. Topped again with Seche.

MOAR festive nails!!!

Good morning!

I'm finally feeling like this stupid cough is loosening its choke on me. I haven't been waking up as much, coughing for an hour or more >.> I actually slept mostly through the night the last 2 nights, so yay for these small things! Sadly, it put me behind on posting again, but this will be remedied. Let's jump right in!

Yesterday was my Textured Friday, and for that I used two new, untried colors. The base was 2 coats of Zoya Seraphina (I just love this name!) from the Zenith collection, topped with Seche. I taped off my tips at an angle with Scotch tape and applied Zoya London to the uncovered area. I can't believe I waited so long to get this color, I just love it.

Thursday's mani was inspired by a blogger I follow on Face Book. This was posted by Phyrra I think it was last week:

This is not Phyrra's image, nor mine, but the blogger that has it watermarked. I used it for inspiration for my mani.

For my base, I used 2 coats of OPI's Black Onyx, which is surprisingly the only black creme I own that isn't for stamping. Over top of that, I applied 1 coat of OPI's Snowflakes in the Air, which is a glitter topper only available in a set with their top coat and matte topcoat. On went the Seche and let dry. The stamped snowflakes came from my Chez Delaney Christmas plate, stamped in CND's Vinylux Cream Puff. Another coat of Seche, then a coat of OPI's Matte Topcoat.

For Wednesday, I did an ugly sweater mani, even though it's more like sweating weather here instead of sweater >.> I chose sort of non traditional colors for this, instead of the usual red and white I've seen a lot of. The base was 2 coats of Jindie Nails Footprints in the Snow over a coat of Zoya Yummy. This did change FITS a little, as far the color goes; you can see that in the first pic. Bottle color does not match the color on my nails. Also, the larger glitters in FITS were a bitch to fish out. Topped with Seche and let that dry before stamping. The sweater stamp came from Mo You Festive 06. The image was a tad too small but that could be I just need to file back my nails. Stamped in OPI's Pamploma Purple and topped again with Seche.

And Tuesday's mani was another blingy mani. I did this one up for a monthly palette project thing, like I did for last month. I didn't have quite the right color for one of them, but I figured it was close enough. All the colors are China Glaze: Winter Berry, Dandy Lyin' Around, and Angel Wings. Everything topped with Seche.

A little bit of bling

Good evening!

So, Christmas is a week and a half off :) I have a feeling my nails from here on out are going to be blingy lol. I don't necessarily plan my manis ahead exactly, but I just have that feeling. Today's was...

I used Zoya's Mason as part of today's mani. It's a beautiful magenta color with flashes of blue. Just a beautiful color. On my ring fingers and thumbs, I sponged on OPI's Show it and Glow it for accents. Those fingers got 2 extra coats of Seche, where it was a single coat on all others. Girly, but still festive for the holidays :)

Stamping Sunday

Good evening!

I've got a quick little post for y'all tonight :) Today's Stamping Sunday theme was entitled animalistic. I chose to do a white Siberian tiger mani. The base color was 2 coats of Zoya Purity topped with Seche. Stamped images came from Sugar Bubbles 002 and Winstonia Nature Series W-03, stamped using CND Vinylux Black Pool. The tiger's eyes were dotted with Zoya Yummy. All topped with Seche, then matted with OPI's Matte Topcoat.

Enjoy!

Holiday nails!

Good evening!

So, still sick, kinda >.< I'm having a hard time shaking this damned cough. I get tired just from all the coughing I do. Today wasn't so bad, but I'm still coughing. I'm just really hoping this crap is gone before Christmas.

I've got 3 festive manis I want to show y'all :) I'll start with Wednesday and work forward. The base was two coats of one of my most loved OPIs, Birthday Babe. I know, I know, lots of people hate frosts, but I actually don't mind them. I added one coat of Happy Anniversary! and one coat of Seche. My stamped imafe came from Messy Mansion MM01 in Sinful Colors Black on Black. The "lights" were Zoya Neve, Giovanna, Suri, and Elisa. All topped with Seche.

Thursday's mani was a bit simpler. The base was 2 coats of Zoya Giovanna. Let me just say this, I love this color, just love it. However, it stains like a royal bitch, so be warned. On my ring fingers and thumbs, I applied a single coat of OPI's Gettin' Miss Piggy With It, then one coat of Seche.

Yes, I know, I went there. I put red and green in the same mani. Bite me :P

For Texture Friday, I combined a Zoya Pixiedust and a Zoya Matte Velvet. Posh, the Matte Velvet, was the base at two coats. I let that dry a good while before I used Scotch tape to create a V shape and painted Chyna over it.

It's my birthday!

Good afternoon!

I have finally both the time and energy to put up a post today, even though I'm still not over this damn cold I brought home. I'm feeling better than I have, I'm just trying to shake the dreaded cough >.> However, I have a week and half's worth of manis that need sharing, so I can't put it off much longer!

So, yeah, today's my birthday :) Of course, they had to be blue for today, and what better color to use than Zoya's Neve? Neve is dark, almost blurple blue with flashes of purple scattered throughout. It's very glowy, just like all other Zoya shimmer, and it applied so nicely. Two coats were all I needed for opacity.

Over top of Neve, I applied just one coat of OPI's Pure, the 18k white gold and silver topcoat. This is just like last year's Man with the Golden Gun, except it's white metal instead of gold. I had passed on that one, but really wanted this, so I picked up the last one at Salon Centric yesterday :) Topped off the mani with Seche.

Yesterday's mani was actually Sunday's Stamping Sunday challenge, three blues. The base was 2 coats of Zoya Blu, followed by a coat of Zoya Mosheen then Seche. The stamped images were from Nailways NW00013, stamped in Zoya Ibiza with another coat of Seche.

For Textured Friday, I wore Make Him Mine, one of the Liquid Sands from OPI's Mariah Carey holiday collection. Make Him Mine is a pretty rose gold and very on trend right now. The color looks more like a neutral on me, but I don't mind. Two coats for this one.

Thursday's nails reminded me of wrapping paper, not just because of the color, but also because of the stamped image I used :P The base color was two coats of Zoya Solange with a coat of Seche. The stamped image came from my Chez Delaney Christmas, stamped in Sally Hansen Insta Dri Jumping Jade, followed by one more coat of Seche. When I pictured this in my head, it so didn't look like wrapping paper, but that's how it turned out lol.

Wednesday's mani was just a hot, glittery mess. It featured a polish I snagged on a Black Friday sale from Candy Lacquer. To be honest, the only way I'll ever truly take advantage of Black Friday sales is online. I can't stand the mindless crowds that go out for those sales, plus, I was in Tennessee at the time. No way was I going anywhere!

The color was two coats of OPI's Your Palapa or Mine? with Candy Lacquer's Rockin' A-round the Christmas Tree sponged over it. I've been finding my indie glitter toppers are easier to deal with, and less bubbly messes, when I sponged them on. For this, I applied two coats of Seche to smooth it out.

Tuesday was all about one of my favorite Christmas treats, candy canes! Base color was two of OPI's Speak for Your-elf! with a coat of Seche. Stamped image came from the same Chez Delaney plate I used on the wrapping paper nails, stamped in CND's Vinylux Cream Puff. Another coat of Seche to seal it.

And, finally, last Monday's nails were also last Sunday's Stamping Sunday challenge, a jelly stampwich. Originally, I wasn't going to do it, because we had just gotten home Saturday, I was sick, and we had stuff that needed to be done before we went back to work Monday. I did it after all, because I couldn't think of anything else to do >.<

The base color was a single coat of Nails, Inc. Baker Street, then a coat of Seche. The stamped image came from one of my Winstonia plates (can't remember which right now), stamped in CND's Vinylux Cream Puff. The jelly coat was Miss Pixie from L'Oreal, which kinda smeared some of my images. Topped off with Seche.

Whew! There you have it! Finally caught up! I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I created :)
