A few challenges, and not so challenges!
Good afternoon!
In order to stimulate my creativeness with nail art, I decided it was high time to take part in some challenges in a few FB groups I'm in. One of them is the 52 week pick n mix challenge, the other a 30 challenge. Hopefully, this will pull me out the rut I've been feeling, and get me to use the stamping plates or try new techniques.
Today's mani is part of the 52 week. The challenge was taupe and/or paisley. I opted for both :) My base color is Zoya Rowan, and it is stamped over with Mundo sunflower and aliexpress VL-2.
And, for your viewing pleasure, the inlinkz to the other blogs doing this challenge:
Yesterday was PAA Mani Monday. I don't what both choices were, but I picked geometric. The base color is China Glaze Highlight of my Summer. Stamping color was Mundo nabu, which is like a coral/orange color, and the image is from myonlineshop XXIX.
Stamping Sunday's theme this week called colors crash: neons and pastels. Perfect! Because that's pretty much what I've been wearing lately :P I went for a more tone on tone look, using pinks. Pastel base is Zoya Dot. Neon stamping polish is Mundo neon pink and the image is from myonlineshop Jr. 8.
Saturday was my niece's first birthday party, so of course, I had to do up my nails for it! I started with an absolute base of China Glaze White on White. On accents, I added 2 coats of Jindie Nails Betty's Fetti Milkshake. On the other nails, I water marbled with other China Glaze colors:
Treble Maker
Glow With the Flow
That's Shore Bright
UV Meant to Be
I also stamped on the accents with images from Bundle Monster H19 and 20, in Mundo sky blue and tutti.
Textured Friday was a Zoya Cosmo kind of day :)
For Thursday, I wanted to take part in the 30 Day Colour Challege.... Too bad I got my days jacked up. What I ended up doing was the themes for Sunday, not Thursday XD I would also like to add that my mani was totally inspired by two I had seen in AiS, and totally made me purchase the plate used lol.
The themes I did were white/leadlighting. White base is Zoya Purity, pink is Zoya Wendy, and orange is OPI Flit a Bit. White base was stamped with Lesly LS-120 in Mundo black. Colors used for leadlighting were Zoya Belle, Kate, Coraline, and Frida.
And the inlinkz for this challenge:
And, least but not least, is my retro inspired mani for last Wednesday. I absolutely adore seafoam green and pink together, it's just so feminine and pretty. Base color is China Glaze Too Yacht Too Handle, stripes are from Pet'la Geomatrix plate, and stamped in Mundo Barbie.

So sorry!
Good evening!
I am so sorry I haven't posted lately. I haven't had a computer to be able to edit pics for over a week now. Finally, finally, I had access to one today, so I was able to get my pics done :)
To keep this post from being extremely photo heavy, I have one pic from each mani. Let's get started!
This is today's mani, a pastel water marble. The base was 2 coats of Morgan Taylor All White Now, the water marble colors were the entire collection of Color Club's Poptastic Patel Neons. This came out much lighter than I anticipated, but I still liked it. Soft and pretty. It wasn't easier to capture it with my camera, but this was the best I could do.
I chose not to do the Stamping Sunday theme, because I didn't like what won the vote. Instead, I did an Easter themed mani. I used a new to me KBShimmer color, Where me Peeps At?, a Peeps yellow crelly with round glitter. I needed three coats for opacity. Over that, I stamped Messy Mansion MM08 and Mundo de Unas lilac.
Friday's mani featured colors from the super popular China Glaze Electric Nights collection. People have been going gaga over this collection, and I can see why. I picked up 8 of them last Wednesday, and really wish I had gotten one more of the other glitters. For this mani, though, I used UV Meant to Be and Point Me to the Party. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Three coats was needed for UV, but I think that was more me than the polish. I kinda feel I should have sponged on the glitter, because I could see air bubbles in bright light.
Thursday was really simple. Just three coats of Zoya Mimi. My camera made this look much cooler than it really is, so I tried to adjust the warmth for a truer color.
I have mixed feelings about my mani from Thursday. I adore the color and the stamping, but I absolutely hate the formula of the base color. I truly did buy CND Vinylux in Butterfly Queen for the name, but the color is gorgeous, so I figured I would give it a chance. Unfortunately, the formula is terrible. It dries rough, and stays rough with even two coats of Seche, and boy, it was a bitch to remove. Messy Mansion MM42 an Mundo de Unas were stamped over it.
Tuesday's mani was a bit of disappointment as well. I feel like I should have layered Morgan Taylor Best Ball Gown Ever over a periwinkle to make it pop. The formula wasn't bad, just two coats for opacity. Another mani where I used Messy Mansion MM08, but stamped in MdU lavender.
Mixed textures was the order of the day for last Monday. I used Zoya Lux and Brittany. Really love this combo!
For whatever reason, Easter nails were the Stamping Sunday them last week, instead of yesterday. I wanted to do nails that looked like Easter eggs, so I started with a water marble base. I used all the colors from Essie's 2014 summer neon collection. The "eggs" are from MM08, stamped in MdU pastel yellow.
For that Textured Friday, I used one of the last textures I have untried, L'Oreal Totally D'Accord. This is such a pretty texture. It's a blackened teal with silver flakies. Only two coats needed for opacity.
I totally ripped that Thursday's mani from Zoya's IG. It was a blue ombre, with Purity, Blu, Yummy, Edie, and Ryan. They left theirs glossy, but I matted mine with Zoya's matte topcoat.
I love the next mani. It's a water marble and gradient combo, using the same 4 colors. They're all Morgan Taylor colors:
All White Now
New Kicks on the Block
Varsity Jacket Blues
Going Native
And lastly, the previous Tuesday's mani. I pulled colors from the skirt I wore that day, blue, grey, and white. The white was OPI My Boyfrined Scales Wlls, te blue I Saw, You saw, We Saw... Warsaw. For the grey, I used Cracked Concrete from China Glaze Crackle Glaze. I then matted it with China Glaze Matte Magic.

Happy New Year!
Good evening and happy New Year!!
Did you do any special for New Year's Eve? Hubs and I actually went to a little party with a few friends. It was great, since we almost never do anything special for New Year's.
I'll get to my New Year's mani in a sec, there's a few others I want to show first, starting with yesterday's Stamping Sunday challenge. The challenge this week was negative space, which is pretty popular right now. There are a few ways to interpret this challenge. Here's how I did mine.
Instead of a naked nail, I went with a naked look, using Zoya Chantal as my base. I used an open, lace like image from my VL-3 plate, stamped with Mundo de Unas black. Topped with Seche, then matted with Zoya's matte topcoat.
For Textured Friday, I used a new to me Pixie Dust. Zoya announced last month that they were discontinuing their Pixie Dusts, which makes me sad. After this announcement, I decided to get the last three I didn't have, Vespa, Godiva, and Destiny. Vespa was the Pixie of the day Friday :)
Vespa isn't as sage green as I thought it was, it's almost minty. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looked on me. My mani was three coats.
Now my New Year's mani! It started with Zoya Imogen for the base. All the images came from Messy Mansion's MM02, all the colors were Mundo d Unas neons and white. I did top with Seche to protect the stamping. This probably the most elaborate stamping I've done yet, I'm very proud of it!
Tuesday was a simple look. I had picked Deborah Lippmann's I'm Not Edible at Marshall's for super cheap last weekend. This is three coats topped with Seche.
In another stamping group I'm in, we had a flash challenge last week, where you had to create a gradient or do a stamping gradient. I chose to do a gradient and stamp over it. The gradient colors were Zoya Kristen, Edie, and Sailor over Purity. The stamped images are from Mo You London Kitty collection 12 and Messy Mansion MM42, stamped in Mundo lavender. Topped with Seche and matted with Zoya matte topcoat.
I chose to not particpate in last Sunday's challenge, mainly because it (the challenge) was New Year's Eve, and I didn't plan on doing that until New Year's Eve. I did kitty cats instead. The base was Zoya Marina, the images from Konad m94, stamped in Mundo de Unas white. Topped with Seche.

Getting all caught up!
Good evening!
I've got a lot of manis I want to show y'all this evening :) Let's get started!
The first is yesterday's office party look, which was also my Textured Friday mani. The colors I used were Zoya Veruschka and Bar. The stamped images on Veruschka were from Sugar Bubbles Special 02, stamped in Mundo light gold.
Thursday was a sparkly glitter gradient. It started with 2 coats of Zoya Casey, which I think was a gorgeous background for Finger Paints' Peacock Portrait. Two coats of Seche smoothed it out for the most part.
Wednesday featured one of the sought after I Love Nail Polish multichrome flakies, Phoenix. I layered two coats of Phoenix over two coats of Zoya Mason.
The first two pics are direct sunlight.
These are shade shots.
And this inside with a flash.
Tuesday was another indie feature, this one from Jindie Nails. I bought this last year, but had only used it once. This is Footprints in the Snow, 3 coats. Topcoat, then stamped with images from Bundle Monster BM-608 and Chez Delaney Xmas 001, in Mundo black and silver. Finished with Seche.
For Monday, I did up a red and green water marble, using Zoya Elise and Giovanna. I added dots in Zoya Brooklyn.
I don't remember what last Sunday's Stamping Sunday theme, but this is what I came up with. It also fit a flash challenge for another stamping group I'm in. Base color is Zoya Cassedy. The stamped images are from Sugar Bubbles SBS 06 and Chez Delaney Xmas 001, stamped in Mundo light grey and light blue. I call it Flurries :)
And last, but not least, is last Friday's texture of the day, Zoya Noir. It seems my camera was determined to make all my pics look horrible -_- This is only one that looked half decent, and I'm not happy with it. Noir is gorgeous, I love it. My mani was two of it.
