Happy Saturday

Good evening and happy Saturday!

Let's get down to the manis! Yesterday's mani was already posted, so on to Thursday's, it was one for Earth Day. I did a gradient of blue and green, using Colors by Llarowe Bananas and Krispy Kremes are Better than HBO and KP.

For #watermarblepracticewed, that prompt was also Earth Day. Again, I used blue and green, even if it doesn't look like. The colors nearly blended together lol. I used Fair Maiden Bisous and Santorini Bikini, over China Glaze White on White.

Tuesday's mani was a combined prompt mani. One prompt was green, the other is gold stars. The green is DIFFERENT dimensions Accept Understand Love from this month's The Holo Hookup box. The gold stars are actually bronze and are from DRK A3.

Monday's mani was inspired by some beautiful tulips my hubs bought for me last weekend. It fit the prompt for an IG challenge. The base was Saran Wrap mani of China Glaze White on White, Red-y to Rave, and Hot Flash. The tulips are from FUN 14, stamped in MdU black. Matted with China Glaze Matte Magic.

Another flower prompt mani! This was created with Lilypad Lacquer Lemony, which is a lovely yellow with a subtle linear holo, and UberChic 1-02 in MdU white.

That previous week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt was April showers. I drew inspiration from wind currents, storm churned waters, and dark skies. The base was ILNP Blue Steel, with Zoya Lake and OPI Nail Envy for the water marble.

That Tuesday's mani wasn't a challenge prompt one, so I kept it simple. The base color was Different Not Less from Bliss Polish, my first from that indie. It's such a beautiful blue. I stamped little kitties over it from Mo You London Kitty 15, in MdU white.

I did that week's PAA Mani Monday prompt, shades of grey, combined with a birds challenge prompts. The grey base was Colors by Llarowe Beat It. I don't have many birds images, oddly enough; the only one I have is on Bundle Monster 614. I stamped it in MdU light grey.

Almost done! That Sunday's mani was a combined prompt mani, too. Prompts were neon and floating hearts. Colors used were China Glaze White on White, and DIFFERENT dimension Boogie, Psyche, and Full Spectral. The hearts are from DRK A3, stamped in MdU black.

Last one! It was for a mint green prompt, and I couldn't resist using this color again. It's so beautiful, I just love it. It's Cirque Colors Mint Chip.

So damn busy!!

Good afternoon, and happy hump day!

Ugh, so, yeah, been pretty busy lately. I was sick the week before last, then trying to play catch after that. This week, things seem to be settling down a little bit, finally. Lots of catching up to do! Let's get started!

First is today's mani, which I am so proud of. It's for this week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt, over a gradient base. This is the first time I have done this, and I really like how it turned out. I only did accent fingers, because I just didn't have enough time last night to make a whole mani out of it. Here's what I used-

China Glaze-
      White on White
      Splish Splash
      Hang Ten-toes
      Orange You Hot?
      Matte Magic

OPI- Nail Envy

Wet 'N Wild- Black Creme

Yesterday's mani was for #clairestelle8april water prompt. I chose to do a sunlight on water look, and CbL Amoebas Contain Tiny Spacemen was the perfect base for it. The stamping came from Sugar Bubbles 021, stamped in MdU sky blue.

Monday's mani was for three different challenges, PAA Mani Monday and two other IG challenges. The prompts were mint/pink, pastels, and dandelions. In last week's nail mail, I got the color I used for my base. I absolutely had to have when I saw the name. It's called Mint Chip, from Cirque Colors, which is my favorite kind of ice cream, as well mint/chocolate candy. I had to really scramble to find a dandelion image; turns out, I only have one lol, and it's one Nailz Craze 01. Stamped it in MdU barbie, then matted with Wet 'N Wild matte topcoat.

On Sunday, we went to see the replicas of Columbus' ships, the Nina and Pinta. It was so cool, I love doing this sort of thing. The weather was beautiful, and it was just a great day :) On my nails was the beautiful Cyngus Loop from ILNP. I could not capture all the colors it shifts through, but I managed a few.

Last Friday's mani is already posted, so on to last Thursday. I did an IG challenge prompt that day, which turned out more subtle than I intended. My base color outshone my stamping lol. The prompt I did was cherry blossoms, so for my base, I used ILNP Dream Girl. Such a beautiful color! The cherry blossoms that don't show up very well, are from Bundle Monster 716, stamped in MdU chocolate.

I flubbed last week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt. I was supposed to use a charm or gems or some 3d stuff for it, but totally spaced it when I topcoated. Here's what I used, it was all OPI-

Alpine Snow
I Manicure for Beads
Spare me a French Quarter?
Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees

This also came out darker than I was planning, but I kinda liked it :)

Last Tuesday, I had an impulse to used one of my beloved Crackles over a neon base. I know, I know, not everyone likes them, but I do, so deal :P I started with a gradient, neon base, then added the Crackle once it was dry. I used the following China Glaze colors-

White on White
You Drive me Coconuts
Treblemaker
That's Shore Bright
Lightning Bolt

For last week's PAA Mani Monday, I did the prompt black, and took some liberty with it. For my base, I used the super bright, ultra glowy Pink! Rock Candy by Glisten & Glow from the March 2016 Holo Hookup box. This pink is ridiculously gorgeous! I stamped black butterflies over it from Lesly 120 in MdU black.

That Sunday was Easter, so I had to egg nails, of course, and this fit with all the Easter themed challenges I had that day. The base was DIFFERENT dimension Blue Raspberry Airhead, and I stamped over that with Messy Mansion 08 in MdU barbie.

The previous Friday's mani has been posted, so on to that Thursday. That was a challenge prompt day, prompt being chicks. That was the weeks I was sick, so I didn't do many fancy manis. OPI Show us Your Tips for the base, with the chicks stamped in MdU yellow, from Messy Mansion 08.

I skipped out on that week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt, and chose to do an Easter bunny one from a different challenge. I bought the new Winstonia plate, A Very Bunny Day, and got it the week before that one. This gave me the chance to try out the fine, bunny images. The blue bases were OPI Rich Girls and Po-Boys and China Glaze Don't Shallow. I used MdU navy for the stamping.

That Tuesday's prompt was Easter eggs. I chose to a gradient with Easter egg-like designs stamped over them. The gradient was nice. I used China Glaze colors for it-

Sweet Hook
White on White
Girls Just Wanna Have Sun
Don't be Shallow

And Zoya Tiana

The stamping could have been straighter, but I dealt with that. No, what pissed me off what MdU Mexican pink smearing, as usual -_- Not that they looked horrible but I knew. Oh, the plate I used was the new Winstonia.

And, finally, that Monday's mani. It was a combined challenge mani, one of them being Easter. This had a gradient base, using CbL High School was Rough Man and Fair Maiden Now & Later. The stamped images were from Winstonia 212, stamped in MdU silver.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- spring

Good morning!

Sorry for the lateness of this post. I spent most of last week fighting off a cold that literally everyone around has had for the last two months. I thought I was safe, in that I hadn't gotten it. Well, with our last cold front, it finally did. Nowhere near as bad as everyone else, but it made me very tired.

Last week's prompt for 40gnai was spring. My mani turned out more Easter-y than spring, but I really like what I did. The base was a beautiful gradient of China Glaze colors-

White on White
Sweet Hook
Dance Baby
Lemon Fizz
Fairy Dust

The stamped images were from Winstonia A Very Bunny Day, stamped in MdU black. Everything was matted with Wet 'N Wild's matte topcoat.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas- 3 shades of green

Good afternoon and happy Saturday!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend :) I have some cleaning planned and a bit of decluttering to do, and of course, nails. Nothing horribly exciting this weekend.

This week's 40GNAI prompt for everyone was three shades of green; my personal prompt was dots. I chose to do a reciprocal gradient type mani, and here's what I came up with. I created a beautiful gradient base with Zoya Neely, Wednesday, and Cecilia. I love how that turned out! I'm not to happy with the dots, they look a little sloppy to me -_- I used the full nail dot image on UberChic 1-03, stamped with MdU white, mint, and fiji.

Time to catch up again!

Good morning!

Boy, I'll be happy when summer comes around, and things start slowing down enough at work so I'm not so exhausted on my evenings and weekends. This snowbird season has been insane :P Because of it, I have some catching up do again, so here we go!

Yesterday was PAA Mani Monday, and the one prompt I chose to do was orange. I combined it with an IG challenge that I'm taking part in. The orange is DIFFERENT dimension Witch and Famous, which I had been wanting since I first saw it. The IG challenge prompt I combined with dotticure. I didn't do a true dotticure, but stamped it with an image from UberChic 1-03 and MdU lime. At least I kept it from looking Halloweeny or fallish!

Nothing for the weekend, and that was a good thing because I put my second Helmer together and managed to bang up my hands in doing so XD. Friday's mani has been posted already, so one to last Thursday's!

I made a decision recently to seriously work on my gradients. I have had a few turn out spectacular, but most don't. This one falls under those that don't, lol, mostly because one of my colors didn't want to build nicely. Colors used were all China Glaze- White on White, In the Near Fuchsia, and My Way or the Highway.

If My Way or the Highway had covered better, I think this would have looked nicer.

For last week's #watermarblepracticewed prompt, the prompt was incorporate dots. Easy peasy. I started with a base of China Glaze White on White. My marble was created with China Glaze colors also- Secret Peri-Wink-Le and Bahamian Escape. The dots were Boho Blues.

Okay, last Tuesday's mani combined two challenge prompt, blue and emoji, and here's what I came up with. The yellow base is Morgan Taylor Doo Wop, which wasn't too bad to work with. I only needed three coats of it for this mani. Now, the only plate I could find I have with anything close to emoji was Bundle Monster plate 304. I stamped the image in MdU sky blue.

I skipped out on doing last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompt, and did an IG challenge prompt, in love with pink. Another gradient, this one using OPI colors- Mod About You, Suzi has a Swede Tooth, and Spare me a French Quarter?. Unfortunately, SV decided to smear or pick up color on a few nails -_-

Stamping Sunday's mani also had a gradient base that I should have left as is, because the stamping didn't show up very well. Colors used were also OPI- That's Hula-rious! and I'm sooo Swamped. The stamping image came from Loja BBF 19, stamped in MdU bones.

That Friday's mani was posted already, so on to that Thurday's! This was a combined challenge mani, prompts being magic and unicorn. The gradient I created for the base was pretty damn magical, in my opinion lol. I think it was my first time doing a holo gradient, too. The holos I used were ILNP Pixie Dust and You're my Boy, Blue. The stamped images were from Nail Ways A-NW00012 and Vivid Lacquer 019, stamped in MdU white.

The #watermarblepracticewed prompt for that week was water spotting, something I haven't been real successful with, but I decided to give it another go. That gorgeous periwinkle base is ninezero February 2016. For the spotting, I used Wet 'N Wild Black Creme.

That Tuesday, the challenge prompt I did was food I love. I love food in general, lol, but especially desserts. Specifically, my husband's cookies, so that was the inspiration for this mani. Colors used were Zoya Spencer, Taylor, and Emilia, in a Saran Wrap mani and dotting.

And, finally, something a little racy! PAA Mani Monday for that week had a dry brush prompt as one of the choices. I combined that with an IG challenge prompt of hot and spicy. My dry brush mani was created using all OPI colors-

Alpine Snow
I'm sooo Swamped
Rich Girls and Po-Boys
I Manicure for Beads
Black Onyx

The stamped images are from the naughty plate that MdU sells, stamped in MdU white.

Still catching up.....

Good morning!

I've had an incredibly long few weeks, so this is gonna be a big post :P So let's get started! I've already shown yesterday's mani, so on to Thursday's. It was a simple mani, but I think it was pretty. Both colors are OPI colors, Worth a Pretty Penne and Crawfishin' for a Compliment.

I was supposed to do a water marble for Wednesday, but it just didn't happen. I had my base all ready to go, sat down to do the marble, annnnd nothing lol. At least my base was awesome. I tracked down, and found in a destash, ILNP A.C. Slater. It is such a beautiful holo.

Tuesday's mani was for two IG challenges, the prompts being animal you love and hearts. The base was Colors by Llarowe Sir Purr, from the Football Fever collection (not that I care about football in the least, but I happened to love three of the colors in this collection). The stamped images were all from DRK A3, in MdU lilac.

Monday was a rather uninspired mani for a different IG challenge. I think if I had used either a different base or a darker stamping color, it would have looked better. The base color was Zoya Penny, which is a pretty color. The teddy bear came from Winstonia 207, stamped in MdU brown.

I do love my Valentine's mani, which covers just about all the challenges I had that day, lol. I created a gradient with Zoya Dow and ILNP Champagne Blush. I stamped a heart on the thumb and ring fingers in MdU copper, with the heart from UberChic 1-03.

Saturday's mani is already posted for last week's 40 Great Nail Art Ideas post, so on to Friday's. That was an IG challenge mani, and the prompt was sealed with a kiss. My base colors were Colors by Llarowe When Doves Cry and Pirates of Penzance. The kisses were from Sugar Bubbles 002, stamped in MdU red.

Last Thursday's mani was simple. Just KBShimmer's Rust No One. This appeared more orange on me than in the bottle, which looked more red.

For #watermarblepracticewed's prompt that week, hearts, I combined it with another IG prompt, color you love. This what I came up with. I used OPI Angel With a Leadfoot, My Pal Joey, and Rich Girls and Po-Boys. This was my first attempt at a heart water marble.

Tuesday was a gradient with Zoya April and Lake over Purity, then matted with Zoya's matte topcoat.

And finally, that Monday's PAA Mani Monday mani. This was combined with two other IG challenges, and here is the results. Base colors were Colores de Carol Beso and Jasper. Stamped images were from Handy 31 and 32, stamped in MdU red and white.

Happy Tuesday!

Good evening!

Wow, where has the month gone?! I can't believe we're already more than halfway through January! Busy, busy, busy!

So, I have some manis to show you, let's get started. Today's mani was simple, but soooo beautiful. It was ILNP Greatness and Glory. So much shifty goodness in this mani!

Yesterday's PAA Mani Monday prompts were mermaid mani and/old shimmer; I did both. My base was Zoya Estelle, stamped with Mundo de Unas gold and Messy Mansion 21.

I skipped on on Sunday's Stamping Sunday challenge, I wasn't feeling it, so I did a gradient with some of the new Zoya Whispers. Base was Purity, gradient was Lake, Ireland, and Cala.

Thursday, I did up a mani using the last polish/plate I bought last year. It was for a group I'm in. The last polish I bought of last year was OPI Center of the You-niverse, the last plate was Cheeky CH40.

For last Wednesday's #watermarblepracticewed, the prompt was horizontal stripes. This didn't turn out quite how I imagined, but I still liked it. The base was Zoya Ziv, the water marble was Wet 'N Wild Black Creme and Nail Envy.

Last Tuesday, I did another multichrome/flakie combo, this one being ILNP Phoenix and Undenied.

Last Monday's PAA Mani Monday prompt I chose was most used polish. My most used polish, that I haven't replaced yet, is OPI Blue my Mind. I matted that with OPI's matte topcoat.

That previous Sunday, I skipped out on that Stamping Sunday, too, and instead did a prompt for an IG challenge. The prompt was favorite animal. My base was DIFFERENT dimension Heavenly Waters, which is beautiful. I stamped kitties and butterflies over it from DRK A3 in Mundo de Unas sky blue.
