I hope today finds you well :) I'm busy fighting a cold from getting any worse. So far, so good; four days in and I really don't feel worse. Mostly, I'm just tired and a little more stuffy and sneezy lol.
I've got a few bright, summery manis to share with you, one featuring new colors, the others are colors I've had in my collection. Last month, I finally got the rest of Zoya's summer collection that I had wanted, and one of the colors was Wendy. Wendy reminds me of two of the colors that were part of the Blogger trio collab. Birchbox had (and still has, I believe), Belle and Kate. Both are what I call grapefruit pinks, one being a shimmery layering polish, the other a jelly. Wendy is in the same color family, but it a creme. It's not a color I usually go for, since grapefruit pink is just too warm for me, but in this case I didn't care. I wanted it as soon as Zoya debuted it.
To keep it from looking too warm, I decided to a gradient with it. Wendy needed 3 coats to not look streaky, then I topped with Seche. For the gradient, I used a new glitter from Maybelline called Rose Mirage. Rose Mirage is dense, fine, rose gold glitter. I sponged that on until I was happy with it and topped that with Seche also.
Wendy is really bright, and my camera kinda spazzed over that lol.
Yesterday, I tried out a (new to me) technique- the distressed mani. I got the idea from this blogger and had been wanting to try for long time. Mine didn't come out as nicely as hers, but I think I did alright for my first attempt. The colors I used were:
- Maybelline Bleached Neons in Bleached in Peach, Day Glow Teal, Pink Punch, Ultra Violet, and Lime Accent
- Maybelline Sapphire Siren
- Milani White on the Spot (base color, 2 coats)
Alrighty, on to Stamping Sunday. I honestly don't remember what I voted for, but what won was a stamp that you don't like. There aren't too many images on my plates that I don't like but there are a few. I remembered two specifically, so I ended up using one of them.
I kept this really simple since having something I don't like on my nails annoys me. The base color is two coats of OPI's California Raspberry. The image is from Mo You Rebel 02 stamped in Mundo de Unas white.

So, I told y'all it was gonna be a long week for me; I wasn't exactly exaggerating about that lol. I've had to be up early this entire week, which means in bed early, which in turns means next to time for manis :( BUT!!! I managed to keep two different manis on my nails for more than 1 day! Yay me! I did stamp them both for the second day, because I just had to.
Let's start with Tuesday. That mani began as just 3 coats of China Glaze's Sunshine Pop. Surprisingly, I had next to no chips at the end of the day, but I had no time to completely change it out. Here's what it looked like first:
I added some stamping to it to change it up a little bit for Wednesday. The image came from Winstonia W216, stamped in Milani's White on the Spot. Now, the basic mani was topped with Seche, and so was the stamping. You can't see it in these next pics, but it later looked like Sunshine Pop bled through to the white O.o Either that, or it wasn't as opaque as it appears in the pics.
Needless to say, that mani came off as soon as I got home that day. What replaced it was OPI's The One That Got Away, perfectly opaque in 2 coats. I had forgotten how much I love this color; I hadn't worn in so long. I'd like to find a lippy in this color......
That mani progressed into this:
This is what's on my nails right now :) It got stamped with an image from my Betina B-15 plate and Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.

I've got two stamped manis I want to show you today, one of them I think is fail, but I'll let you be the judge of that :P
First up is today's, which I just love how it turned out. I absolutely love orange and gold together, but I just don't see it a lot. I've been promising myself I'd do an orange and gold stamped mani, and I finally got to it :)
The base is two coats of China Glaze Riveting and a coat of Seche. Stamped over that is Cheeky Jumbo plate 5 and Maybelline Bold Gold. For once, Seche didn't smear my metallic stamping, yay!
I don't know the third pic came out so dark, I must caught a shadow or something.
Now, yesterday's mani I think was something of a fail. I tried to do gradient stamping, which I've only done one other time, and that was quite some time ago.
The base color was 3 coats of OPI's Hotter Than You Pink over a coat of Put a Coat On!, then Seche. I let that dry a good while before I stamped over, because I've had the base slide off my nail before because it was dry enough. The stamped image came from Sugar Bubbles 002 and the colors were Milani's White on the Spot and Black Swift, then a final coat of Seche.
I don't know, I'm not unhappy with it, but I definitely don't really care for it.

Here's a quick little post with today's and yesterday's manis. Today's is something I've wanted to do since I saw it mentioned kinda recently: mattified Fantasy Fire. Two coats of FF over 2 coats of OPI's Eurso Euro, with a coat of Seche followed by a coat of OPI's Matte coat.

Yesterday's Stamping Sunday challenge was summer time nails. Now, for whatever reason, I associate the candy, Skittles, with summer time, so that was my idea. The base colors are all Zoya. Two coats each of Sooki, Yummy, and Josie. Pippa and Arizona needed three. All were topped with Seche then stamped with images from Winstonia W118, Bundle Monster BM-308, Sugar Bubbles 002 and 014 (for the S itself in the logo) and Milani White on the Spot. All topped with Seche.

Good afternoon! For those that celebrated yesterday, I hope you had a great Memorial Day! I spent the afternoon with friends and family, and got waaaaay too drunk :P
I completely meant to post half these manis last Friday, but when I leave my camera at home, that can't happen lol. So this is gonna be a big catching up post! Let's get the show on the road, shall we?
Starting with today's mani, which featured two new colors. Mani started with a base of 1 coat of OPI's Put a Coat on! base coat, followed by 2 coats of OPI's You're So Outta Lime. This one color impressed me more than last year's Neon Revolution neons (which I threw out, I was so disgusted with them >.<). If I hadn't added a coat of glitter, I might have considered a third coat, but honestly, I thought 2 was pretty good. The glitter I added is a new one from Hard Candy, Pop Star. Pop Star is a little thick, but packed with glitter; however, I definitely I should have sponged it on instead brushing it on. Two coats of Seche and done.
Yesterday I did up a patriotic mani featuring holos. I applied two coats of each color- KB Shimmer Whole Lava Lovin' and OPI's DS Glamour and Coronation. Stamped images came from Winstonia W107 and Vivid Lacquer VL 002, in Milani's White on the Spot. Topped with Seche.
Stamping Sunday's challenge was butterflies, fireflies, and ladybugs. Now, you could any one, combo, or all three in your mani. I opted for ladybugs, since it's something I hadn't done before. I started first with my ring fingers as the accents, and water marbled them with OPI's Red Hot Rio and China Glaze's Liquid Leather over a coat of Put a Coat on!. Boy, was that a bitch to do, but it came out nice. Dots are White on the Spot, topped with Seche.
The other fingers were 2 coats of Red Hot Rio, a coat of Seche, then stamped with Milani Black Swift and Winstonia W 112, and another coat of Seche.
For Textured Friday, I mixed my textures :) I did 2 coats each of OPI's Emotions and 4 in the Morning.
Thursday's mani is a copy of a mani I saw, I think, in a Face Book group I'm in. I don't remember exactly who posted it, but I had wanted to do ever since I saw. This is what I came up :)
I first did a Saran Wrap mani with OPI's Skull and Glossbones and French Quarter for Your Thoughts. Then I stamped over it first with OPI's Road House Blues and one image, then Road House Blues and OPI's Eurso Euro and another image. Image plate use was Messy Mansion MM 24. Topped with Seche.
Wednesday's mani was something simpler. Two coats of OPI's Be a Dahlia Won't You? and a coat of I Lily Love You. This needed two coats of Seche, because the flakie isn't as smooth as others.
